This versión is more expensive than IdH. I bought the other one for 60€/200ml (the 100ml costed 55€). Now i have paid 68€/100ml (while the 200ml costed 90€). More expensive with worse quality... I prefer infusión d'homme... :( For many years I have enjoyed wearing Infusion de Vetiver, which started out as a masculine flanker, before being re-released in 2015 as a unisex fragrance, although the composition had barely been altered. The feminine offerings from this Infusion line have not appealed to me in the slightest, and have been boring for the most part. I am pleased that the richer, more masculine offerings centred around wood notes have kept me entertained. Infusion d'Iris Absolue is a flanker well made; neither so different that it would seem unreasonable to share the same name nor too similar so there would be no point of being around like others. They share some basic traits but there are different perfumes altogether. I haven't own one until it was discontinued. It's my biggest regreat after I starts collecting perfume. This cologne is ideal for gifting as it has excellent sillage and endurance. In addition, it is a scent that will help you feel better about yourself, grow, and be more self-assured. This fragrance seems to make me imagine being in a beautiful old house in the country, going outside on a crisp chilly morning and smelling the frosty dew on the grass. Its a cold scent..and serious, almost too serious. But it has a certain uniqueness to it that i just cant help but fall in love with. This Dsquared2 perfume is light, clean, and perfect for the office or other small spaces. It won't offend anyone and has a calming, stress-relieving aspect. It has a smoky cedar base with a hint of citrus and a bright watery violet aroma. The cedar and vetiver give it a woody and earthy tone similar tothe Prada infusion d'iris clone.To me, Infusion D'iris radiates an upper-middle-class air that lends you a calm confidence which is beautiful to bask in. I would love to put this fragrance on for an evening at the opera house or for a classical concert. Strong but warm and comforting, with longevity and needed sillage. You can tell when you smell it. Luxurious and seamless merging, outstandingly innovative with nearing perfection.

Update: This is the third time, i think, of wearing this. Ive come to the conclusion that its the most razor sharp version of the iris line that there is. While the origional has a little bit more softness to it; Iris cedre is very cold and stilted. I dont really know if it opens up more in summer,its cold here atm and seems to sit on my skin without really fully opening up,i feel like it has more potential in warmth, with the benzoin and incense. The end notes come with sandalwood, amber, and musk that blend all the ingredients perfectly, giving a finished look. This Elizabeth Taylor perfume has hypnotic qualities further enhanced by the slightly bitter spice tones that blend with the sandal and floral notes. As time goes on, the fragrance warms up, and the delicate spicy base notes become more prominent. EDIT: I was trying to decipher what that beautiful almond-ish note was exactly, and then I saw the mastic note in the ingredients listed here.And I thought yes...it is similar to mastic but...it isn't quite that... but this note was so familiar...almond-ish...mastic-y... and then it hit me!The note that gives that impression and it is the main note of this perfume is the spice mahlab. If you have ever grinded mahlab seeds and tried this perfume, you know exactly what I am talking about. The mahlab seeds when grinded they become a beautiful aromatic powder that can be used in a pastry recipe that is well known here in Greece called tsoureki that we make usually in Easter.In fact, mahleb gets combined beautiful with mastic (one ingredient compliments the other in the recipe), so it is no surprise, that the mastic is referred here. However the note is definitely mahlab! This perfume is truly enchanting, it reminds me of some tea fragrances that I've owned in the past. But this is where all similarity ends, as this perfume is more sophisticated and also slightly masculine. I cannot imagine seducing a man with it (unless he is a banker, haha @anilinam).At first, I was a little let down and disappointed, I found it waaay too femme, way too floral and just not something I would ever go for, but after a few hours, my opinion on it totally changed. It smells clean and expensive. It you like this kind of stuff, go directly for 200 ml, because frankly the smaller ones are just too expensive. And even if you don't want to, you will end up using it like a cologne, you will overspray it and FREQUENTLY in summer. As it behaves like a cologne, you will treat it like one. The bottle... gorgeous, gold, stately dresser jewelry. The scent, luxurious and balmy and quite different from the original EDP and not a concentrate as one might assume.

They offer excellent longevity and sillage. These dupes thus will do the job. The perfume will not run out as it stays on your skin for a good time while flaunting your shine and elegance as you captivate the people around you. There is also some combination in this eau that reminds me of public washrooms that leave a lingering scent of industrial disinfectant or cleaner. I swear it smells pretty much like this minus the sweet, a little less powder and woods. This is why I can't enjoy the perfume, I find it off putting, gross. That said, this high pitched chemical whine probably stops the resins from resembling incense and retaining the powdery effect. Now... as we all SHOULD know, a higher base percentage is less dilute and consists of larger molecules overall, with the more [smaller moleculed]volatile elements evaporating faster. this is why eau de toilette will always smell ‘fresher’ or more crisp to your nose... whereas a stronger eau de perfume or perfume will be ‘smoother’ on the senses.

I also sampled the newer 2015 version at the pharmacy and while it performed better on me (less incense, fresher and greener), there was too much of a 'diaper' smell in the dry down. The floral notes like rose, jasmine, iris, lily, or violets create a refreshing touch and keep it as natural as possible. People always admire flowery and subtle scents reminding them of many good memories. I might be personal bias but I think the one made in France is significantly stronger than Spain one.Yet classy, sophisticated and elegant. Unisex, just like it’s twin brother Infusion d'Homme (I have both). People often complain of longevity and sillage issues, this was not created to announce itself, but to create a veil to delight and intrigue, never shout.
