About this deal

The sisters are amazing authors as they invented my absolute favourite series , zodiac academy, and so I knew that I had to read another Fantasy romance by them because they are amazing in that genre. If you like fantasy, Fae, curses, dragons (yes, again), crazy characters, Aladin retelling… this book is for you. Literally don’t care how long the pipe down his pants is, with the way he talks about it and his face it’s just giving small dick energy. This man has been through his own trauma and seeing him slowly starting to figure out who he is without the guard is exciting. Maybe because I still have hope for the series as a whole, maybe because I just loved the Orion bonus chapter or maybe because after 20 mind-bending hours of being trapped in the coin—err, the book, I’m just glad to be free again.

I did enjoy the story and will definitely continue with the series but that could be due to a nostalgic enjoyment of the Disney version of Aladdin as this does follow the major plot points of that movie very closely for the most part. Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti have sold millions of books worldwide and have become known as the Twisted Sisters due to their dark and decadent romances full of heart-stopping angst.

Then he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and his life was turned completely upside down. Dear Miss Peckham, Miss Valenti, you can do so well with short stories and AKOGAR is a prime example of it so please, for the love of all the magnificent dragons and fairy tales, cut the crap, get to the point and please please please don't drag the story on unnecessary for the sake of more books( ehem, ZA ladies). I read the prequel first which was amazing and beautifully written so I had high expectations for AGOMAG however I didn’t feel it was as good. Just when you think everything is going one way, they of course drive us right off the cliff and leave us hanging. One of the 40’s most notorious is Drake- thief, master manipulator and heartbreaker all rolled into one, whose good looks are his most precious commodity and his swagger and charm will have you falling fast.

PACING — Others have said (and I wholeheartedly agree) that there was an imbalance of inner monologue to action. Their begrudging bromance was one for the books and it was so funny reading their banter and experiences they had to deal with. Our Aladdin here can’t do anything besides talk about his good looks and his skills in the bedroom, it was annoying and extremely tiresome.A lot of times it was hard to focus because I just couldn’t concentrate and the story sort of dragged because of all the filler. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. There was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end, but I thought overall, the book wrapped up nicely, but it definitely sets up for book 2.
