At the end of the game, points are tallied by counting up your total number of buildings, the value of the goods on your advancement track, your reputation, and VP's/bonuses. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Next, the Harvest action lets you gather some of the resources you’ve accumulated and move them to your player board for increases to your income you gain each round and victory points later. Teach/Recruit: workers with the feather icon are considered teachers, and are able to recruit other workers (from an available pool) into your workforce.

Each player is given their own player board, which they will add to with cards they acquire to create their village tableau. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. It is not as directly competitive as most two player games, since it is hard to get a good handle on who is ahead in VP during game play. However, while I certainly applaud the effort, I find the most fun aspect of the game–the story-telling and encounters–to be too luck dependent and problematic. Each player starts with three worker tiles, certain types of which allow you to train new workers and build new buildings/outposts. In most engine building games, your time preference starts out low and shifts to extremely high by the end of the game (because unlike the real world there’s a known end point in a game that forces your hand).Have you trained villagers that are good at exploring and grabbed the buildings that offer a re-roll of the dice? You instantly feel like you should try to do your best for your villagers since they’ve been through hell already. It is important to note that underground outposts cannot be constructed until a player has explored the underground, which earns him among–other possible items–a card upon which outposts can be constructed. We have seen a very small bit of repetition in scenarios, but never get the same scenario multiple times in one.

Best of all, there’s a sense of mystery and the author trusts the audience enough to show hints of a larger world rather than try to explain every little detail. You’ll be given a choice and a lot will depend on which villagers you brought on the expedition, and who you’re willing to sacrifice to succeed. At the end of the round, the players and game play area go through maintenance (refreshing worker and building pools, refreshing workers based on available beds, using any ciders and potions, gaining income from the advancement track, etc).Near and Far puede ser muy entretenido si usas la imaginación e inventas historias que vayan con tus personajes y decisiones. Are you going for the minimum of just having a cave slot on which to build an outpost, or do you really want something? For example, if the die value depicted is “3”, the player must roll 3 or greater on a die to be successful. The successes that your workers earn determine your overall success level (or failure) for the encounter, and any prizes (coins, goods, etc) or penalties are awarded. In the game, you send your villagers to perform jobs like exploring the cave, harvesting resources, and constructing houses.

Several buildings are available to construct each turn, including special “star” buildings and underground outposts. Further, I find the rewards for successful explorations–particularly the mid-level ranges, which is just about all of the challenges players can face–to be skimpy.
