Description: Premium Candelilla Wax is extracted from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub which is boiled in hot water, then skimmed off the surface, before going through an additional filtration / refining process to pellitize the final wax product. The wax is extracted by boiling the leaves and stems with dilute sulfuric acid and skimming it from the surface of the liquid, prior to further refining.
