About this deal

The Air Up bottle is really for anyone who doesn’t like water or would drink more if it tasted like squash.

This Chilly’s cup really shines with a far larger selection of colours, totalling an impressive array of 23 different options. Of course the benefit to not having a lid is that it’s easy to grab and drink from on the go so if it is just a simple gym bottle you’re after, this is it. However, the Series 2 has updated features like the antimicrobial collar, carry handle, and silicone bottom, potentially making this slight temperature difference a non-issue depending on your preferences. There’s a wide variety out there but broadly, they fall into two main categories: those that offer thermal linings, thus keeping your coffee hot for hours; and those that don’t, so the coffee must be consumed fairly quickly, just like you would with a regular mug or disposable cup. Follow along for DIY transformations, interior styling, weekend hikes and awe-inspiring travel vistas as we explore our beautiful world one adventure at a time!Glass is easy to clean, bamboo fibre is sustainable, stainless steel keeps liquids both hot and cold for time and plastic is lightweight and durable. If you’re a coffee machine owner, it’s worth noting that this mug is 15cm tall, so check it will fit under the dispenser. Because Air Up conducted a very clever marketing campaign when it launched, using influencer partnerships on Tiktok and Instagram to target that younger age group. I was so excited to get two of the new Chilly's bottles however, after using them for a little while, they became mouldy and rusted after being left with the lid on for a few weeks. The action still requires one's hand to be in a specific position - it is definitely a knack that has to be acquired.

Oh, and it's made from a number of the many millions of used coffee cups that the brand have collected from around the country (then cleaned and blended into a new material). My one gripe is that the lid is stiff to operate - meaning anyone with joint issues or frail hands will struggle. That’s why it’s shot to fame online and is now the bane of every parent’s lives, as kids beg to have one to fit in at school.

Its antimicrobial collar does have a small few gouges on it, almost like the plastic got caught on something and scraped off. Some of the bottles on this list are reasonably expensive when all you’re really after is a vessel to hold water. But nothing is perfect, and unfortunately the silicone base started peeling away after only a few uses. Unfortunately, the silicone on our bottle isn’t attached very well and was already starting to peel off when we took it out of the box.

Old school favourite Stanley is now popular amongst Gen Z as well as older generations, thanks to a bout of viral fame for their constantly sold-out giant tumbler, which I review below. The Series 2 is an upgraded version of Chilly’s Original Water Bottle and has a few new features that set it apart from the first iteration, which we’ll get into below. It arrives in a pack with two straws, which you trim to fit the size of your bottle and fit into the lid. Plastic uses oil and water in the production and releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, but can be more environmentally friendly if it is recycled. Instead, it serves up a 360 degree drinking experience, just as you'd get if you drank from your bog-standard coffee mug.

I’d highly recommend Waterdrop to anyone who needs a bit of flavour to encourage them to drink more water. It’s light and just the right size – large enough for a long coffee; small enough to fit in your car’s cup holder. These travel mugs are definitely geared more towards the aesthetics than practicality so I keep this one on my desk at work.

It’s hard to make a water bottle stand out from the crowd in such a saturated market, but Contigo’s Autoseal technology is the best leak-proof design I’ve seen. One thing I have found is that the straw is stiff to pop up - not too dissimilar from the Hydro Flask below. All you need to do is select a different colour for the body, head and lid to create your own unique colour combination. In such a saturated market, Waterdrop has come up with something slightly different to stand out: Microdrink cubes. Chilly’s might be best known for its water bottles but it also sells reusable coffee cups in a similar style.

My only issue is that when I get to the water near the bottom I have to be very careful as it can spill all over me sometimes HAHA. This cup folds up and fits in your pocket, is seriously lightweight and comes in a range of mood-boosting hues, like this lovely peony shade.
