Apply the dye liberally along the grain with a good quality brush, alternatively the dye can be sprayed. This french oak interior varnish from the Ronseal Interior diamond hard range can be applied to interior using a brush.

Littlefair's wood dyes are water based which means they do not contain any toxic chemicals and are odourless. Manns Classic Oak Stain is manufactured from the finest ingredients and quality pigments, which in turn enhances the overall grain structure of hardwoods. I chose mid oak and if was a horrible orange colour and I ended up painting over the gallows brackets with white.

If using a water-based top coat, apply the first coat thinly, passing over the surface with few strokes to avoid any lifting or dragging of the stain. Well sanded wood will be far more receptive to dye, and this will form the basis for a good quality finish. Littlefair’s wood stain enhances the darker details of the natural wood grain and produces the desired natural finish. Manns Classic Oak Stain must be sealed with a top coat system such as a wood varnish, wood oil or wood wax. A slightly unusual application perhaps but I had a dark oak wood block floor laid and some of the joints weren't quite tight and the light coloured tongue was showing.
