To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.

We've spent about ten hours all told revisiting these games and in that time we've seen plenty of clipping issues, with our protagonist failing to connect with scenery properly whilst clambering and climbing around, we've spotted a few flying cars and floating NPCs here and there, and noticed some audio issues to boot. Since this review was originally published, updates have reportedly addressed or improved one or more of the issues cited. That's according to a newly shared analysis of the game's source code conducted by Reddit user RafaelSwi, who discovered that the entire GTA 5 codebase contains just two references to the Nintendo Switch, and only a couple more mentions of the console's NX64 codename. This system must be updated to the latest system software and connected to the internet with automatic downloads enabled, and it must have enough storage to complete the download. through a series of patches and updates, and sitting down to spend some time with all three the results so far are fairly reasonable. It could be that Rockstar simply doesn’t see the value in it, not least with the studio confirming that GTA 6 is under development. Maybe I was lucky, but I believe you can enjoy the games just fine unless you are going out of your way to be upset in all honesty.

Aside from graphics (sort of), the biggest change with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is its controls. Vice City also dumps you back in the game before the environment around you has even finished rendering, so you'll often witness hideously muddy visuals while the game catches up. Original Story: After the troubled release of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy on multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch, it looks like Rockstar Games could potentially be remastering another one of its older titles. First to PC, then to PS4 and Xbox One and more recently to next-gen consoles in the form of the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.

As it stands, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a serviceable way to re-experience these games on a Nintendo console, but – in either TV or handheld mode – you likely won’t be able to enjoy the intended benefits.
