About this deal

I used a SPDT switch, some fine wire-wrap wire, and a tiny bit of good ol' lead-tin solder with flux. I did also use that to add some stress relief on the ribbon to the footswitch, it's a breakdown waiting to happen, just waiting for your next gig. If you matched the amplitudes at 1kHz (a reference no better than others) with the Voice control at mid-point, it actually has less treble . I only use the amp sim (with 2x10 cab) and tuner function, though there's lots more under the hood if you want it. Compared to the Joyo amp-in-a-box pedals a POD sacrifices a tiny bit of of the Joyo's sound quality (maybe - depends on your taste) and most of its simplicity for a huge amount of flexibility.

But bear in mind that old cards were made with non-RoHS, lead-based solder which is a bit easier to work with (lower melting temperature).

I think the fact it's digital as opposed to the analog Joyos makes it, to my ear, a little less friendly with external pedals and a little more.

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. The Gain knob controls the level of overdrive while the mid-sensitive Tone knob improves signal clarity and tonal responsiveness to help your true tone shine through despite the amount of overdrive dirt you layer onto it. In terms of construction the JF-13 is made from durable aluminium and has a incredibly sturdy design. cuthbertg wrote:I want to try to add a switch for the speaker sim bypass though, and as this is my first muck-about with SMD, I think I'll go and practice on some old PCI cards I have lying about first.isn't going to stop much in the way of pops, plus it looks like it is just connecting the bypass portion of the switching.
