About this deal

Intense and enticing, this is an eau de parfum for confident women, who embrace the power in their femininity.

No clue what to do with it, I will keep it for the collection's sake, but heck if I will ever wear it.I can definitely say so far that this is an inoffensive perfume, nice, soft, subtle and suitable for everyday and office wear and also suitable for hot weather. This made it to my test list after a night of craving simple, summery, fruity fun scents and learning about Escada.

But this one -which I can only assume is a reformulation- doesn't seem like the Escada line of perfumes most of us know, in fact, it resembles the Kenzo line of perfumes- soft, creamy special and inoffensive. Apply Escada Magnetism Eau de Parfum to your pulse points; on your wrists and neck, but also behind your ears, or even behind your knees. It's kind of interesting pairing up the sweetness of caramel with the tanginess of tropical fruits like pineapple, litchi, and melon, and these notes bring to the fragrance a similar overripe fruitiness found in Lolitaland or Eden. It’s a suffocating kind of sweet chemical smell, Maybe it’s the green notes, I’m really not a fan of green notes for the most part. This has a touch of greenness, but it isn't overly herbal, it just adds a certain balance to the entire composition that smells as if it was placed there by a genius.I wore the life out of this perfume and got so mad at my husband for always wearing it too because I definitely don’t think it is unisex, lol. I'd prefer that the perfumers create less sweetness in the first place rather than creating it and trying to cut through it. Unfortunately, at several points in each wearing, there is a dispute between them, with a smell of [basil + pineapple + black currant + praline + red berries]. But what really draws attention is the balance of sour fruits offset by tons of caramel and vanilla.

It's aromatic, a bit fruity and green but in a different kind of way and I think it's because of the basil. Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application. Its not a great performer at least on my skin, projects for 2 hours then quickly sets into a skin scent by 3rd hour its gone. I love the geometric bottle, it is unique but at the same time reminds me of the Givenchy Irresistible line, it is hot pink that gets darker as the bottle progresses from bottom to top. The sensual and floral ingredients by Escada Magnetism give this fragrance a refined power of attraction.

The vanilla-caramel sweetens just a tad with the arrival of candied fruits a few minutes after the initial spray. I will say, when sniffing up close, it fill your nose with fresh cut grass, or like you stuck your head in someone's seasoning cabinet. But yeah there’s something really cloying and sharp about this, it’s not my fav, and I think it’s mostly just not good with my chemistry so no hate to people that like it!

I don't always want to smell like a bakery (but sometimes I do) and I don't always want to smell like grass and trees either (but sometimes I do) and this scent somehow finds a balance between all of those things. You will notice the vetiver and patchouli adds a bit of darkness to Magnetism, while benzoin contributes with warmth, melon and lychee bring sweetness while the freesia gives you a floral sharpness. Oriental-scents, such as this one, are luxurious and warm, fusing aromas such as precious-woods, musk and spices together and commonly featuring an amber accord. It's an interesting combo and it's really fun to finally experience this, since it's a cult classic for many people.

NOTE: As a seller, you are solely responsible for the legitimacy of the product, and its images and descriptions. I truly thought I would smell like I had just been picking fruit, juice smeared on the side of my face. Unlike most reviewers who rave about this one, I didn't wear it back when it was readily available, so I have no nostalgic attachment and emotional bias towards it. Magnetism has a lot more notes going on but the caramel/vanilla/berry is right up front and stealing the show so that's where they come to such similarity.
