About this deal

I've used benefit they real mascara for ages and was happy with it, but felt adventurous to try this one and oh my god am I happy I did! I apologize so much for this and while I haven’t fallen off the face of the planet, I have been rather ill. I like many other people and a lot of bloggers included, picked up my roller lash mascara when it was featured as the freebie with the February edition of Elle magazine.

I would highly recommend this to anyone with short or straight lashes because it makes such a huge difference. If you already have curled lashes, and want well separated and longer lashes, They’re Real is the mascara for you. As you can see from my before/after pictures, it makes such a gorgeous difference and brings out my natural lashes beautifully!Through The Looking Glass by Rachel Read is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.

I haven't been coating my lower lashes with mascara for months as my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara wand is HUGE, making my life difficult to coat them without smudges. I wore this mascara on several occasions, thinking the smudges were just a one time thing, but it smudged EVERY time; so annoying and the clumping was awful. Benefit are launching a brand new mascara and for girls with short lashes, straight lashes or small eyes, this could potentially be life changing. The wand is everything when it comes to mascara, and Benefit did an amazing job with the design of this one - my lashes are longer, fuller, and much more lifted than they were before. This is a great comparison, I've been hearing so much about both of these as the wand really does seem similar.

And rather than aiming to bring all-round mascara drama like They’re Real, Roller Lash instead targets some more specific but pretty common lash laments.

My lashes are naturally curved upwards slightly, instead of stubbornly-downward-pointing-straight lashes like most Asians. The brush is made from rubber and has tiny hooks, just like the ones on hair rollers, that are designed to lift the lashes at the base and force them to curl upwards. I know it seems strange, but eating something (even if just a saltine cracker and even if eating something feels like the last thing in the world that would be what you want) helped me with morning sickness. my eyelashes are naturally flat and medium to long but when I curl them they will stay curled throughout the day without mascara.

A final bonus, if you needed one at this point, is that, despite the effect, it doesn’t weigh on your lashes – it feels light, helping to add to the ‘wide awake’ feel and look of the product! I find with this Roller Lash mascara I have to be really careful not to just repeatedly coat, coat, and keep coating my lashes. I only thought to document myself getting ready after I texted my girl Danielle to show her the bitchstick I picked out – Damned, a velvet matte pencil from NARS. Benefit Roller Lash mascara was designed to curl the eyelashes while making your eyes look bigger and more awake.
