She ends up going to a local bar to forget her hellish birthday, but ends up very publicly trash talking the fae Seelie king. The convos between Ava and Shalini are hilarious and I can't help but be happy for Ava for having such a great best friend. The suspense of the Eaters grabbed me and the journey Frost embarks on with Romes and her protective robot Bunt sent me on a roller coaster ride that I didn't want to end.A wintry animal tale with a historical twist, Frost sounded like a perfect kids read to snuggle up with now that it’s getting cold! She is the successful author of the Ugenia Lavender book series in the UK and continues to work with the Royal Commonwealth to promote prospects through literacy to Commonwealth citizens. Overall, this would make a very cosy winter read for any young reader who loves animals or history – perfect for curling up with on a cold winter’s day and being transported back in time. Overall, I definitely recommend this if you want something fun that provides a sexy twist on The Bachelor with a high fantasy fae romance.

This was such a surprisingly dark read, especially since the cover is so beautiful and the book premise seemed so light, which was quite apparent from the first few pages.Ava faced extreme prejudice growing up in the human world, and she also never felt like she belonged to the fae world since she was never welcomed back. As much as I enjoyed the novel, I wish I knew right now if it's just going to be a standalone or if it's going to be the first in a series. I loved the emphasis on the importance of color and hope and imagination when life gets dark or rough.

There's also a little side romance blooming, and I can't wait to see where both of these relationships go. Comparitively, Torin is reserved and intense and when these two come together there are more sparks than you can handle. I loved racing alongside Rosie and her friends on a journey that needed valiance, courage and logic. But following Frost home will give her more story than she bargained for–dangerous mercenaries, spaceships, intrigue, and a sexy blue-skinned alien looking for more than a one night stand.

This wasn’t a graphic one and this is definitely a slow burner but despite that Ava and Torin had so much raw chemistry and I’m looking forward to the second book in this duet. Bloodstone island is home to exotic creatures such as the petrifying Komado dragons, majestic Falcons and graceful Wildcats who have eyes as deep and mystifying as the solar system. In Frost, we see a young girl who is almost an orphan in a land being overtaken by robots or ‘broots.
