About this deal

The conductive grease is produced with a temperature stable silicone oil for you to improve the electrical connections between your sliding surfaces. I wouldn't bother with products claiming to 'fill in the gaps' with conductive material for simple battery contacts - the current density isn't anywhere near high enough to require it. They are designed to lubricate and maintain electrical and thermal conductivity while providing protection against moisture and corrosion. Conductive greases for electronics efficiently lubricate moving parts, offer superior protection against corrosion and help ensure electrical continuity between irregular surfaces.

One of the most common misconceptions we come across is that some electrical engineers think that using one of our specialist connector lubricants will cause extra circuit resistance/circuit impedance across a connector or circuit – this is not correct! It’s understandable that an engineer or hobbyist could see a conductive grease as a quick fix for a badly worn or corroded connector and maybe if the connector/connection is a simple spade or bullet connector, a conductive grease could work, but this is the rare exception rather than the recommendation or rule. Using a conductive grease is considered a possible shortcut to fixing the problem rather than cleaning or replacing the connector. I found this interesting chart of specific manufacturer of lubricant materials and I wonder if it is universal or only specific to this manufacturer. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Particularly, electrical and lubrication effects are discussed in detail along with some mechanical processes leading to a fault-free machine operation. g. if you put Vaseline on spark plugs the spark can arc through it and carbonise it, and the catch fire. MG Chemicals 8481 carbon conductive grease has been designed to lubricate and improve your electrical connections between sliding surfaces and parts. It lubricates, reduces contact resistance, repels moisture, inhibits corrosion and prevents static build-up. Why not take a look at our article about how electrical connector grease works for reassurance and we also have a demonstration video. The conductive grease has a synthetic oil base, is stable and can act as a gasket in your EMI shielding applications. I am an electrician by trade, I was sceptical at first, but this work great for cleaning up some electrical connections. Small applications of synthetic grease are very important throughout a modern vehicle and the interior is no different. We use two types of silica as a thickener in our grease range, both fumed silica and hydrophobic silica. I was told that I should find dielectric silicon grease because it will inhibit corrosion and oxidation.
