About this deal

Storm and Lincoln both have different reasons to compete but they are both just as determined as each other. My favourite character in this book was Storm because she loves dinosaurs and she is never fearful about anything. The protagonist, Stormchaser Knux (a name that immediately made me like the character) is an incredibly strong-willed, fiery force who suffers immensely as she attempts to navigate the alien world that has been kept hidden from her for so many years. So, this book is told through the POVs of Rainbow Dash Stormchaser Knux and Lincoln (so ordinary) who live on the continent of Earthasia, while the dinos live on the continent of Piloria.

I really, really loved this book, the characters, the concept, the world building, everything about it was fascinating and exciting. Some may not survive, but the winning group, depending on the stakes, has always received their prize. An element that really interested me was the way in which Wilson set about showing a varied attitude among the human characters towards the dinosaurs. However, I didn't rate this a 5 as it wouldn't personally be a book i look at and think 'wow i want to read that' and much rather would be 'eh looks boring. Wilson painted an interesting picture with her two continents, one overpopulated with humans and very little else.

Plot and character are masterfully woven together and the action - which is anything but frozen - sling-shots from stage to stage like an intergalactic spaceship' Daily Mail , on The Solar War . I’m still a little confused as to whether this was a futuristic dystopia or a historical dystopia because they kept discovering things like DNA and GPS trackers and using graphite sticks for pencils, but then they talked about overpopulation and climate change and wearing sneakers. At some points it was sad but I think there was only really one person who acted like a real person. The first book in the heart-stopping The Extinction Trials trilogy, for fans of The Hunger Games and Jurassic Park.

Storm is strong and questions everything, she has a bond with a plesiosaur she’s named Milo who lives in the lake, so has an affinity for the dinosaurs which no one else understands, not that she spreads that around. Maybe if I was 12 and hadn't grown up watching Jurassic Park every day after preschool (90s kids amiright? So, we're following Stormchaser and Lincoln - I loved reading from different pov's and reading about their different intakes on everything regarding the story-line and it's development - who form a team with some other finalists to expand their chances of succes. Set after the events in The Extinction Trials, we see Storm and Lincoln adjust to life after the trials in Piloria.

Lincoln will do anything and risk is own life to protect his family, instead Storm has no family and she is developing relationship with dinosaurs. P.S: Grudgingly giving it 3 stars which is actually 2 point something because the writing was bearable and I read this quick. I like the conflict between Storm and Lincoln’s motives – Lincoln says family comes first, but Storm wants to do what is right for the world. Stormchaser and her team have to go through the trials to prove they are strong enough to survive on Piloria.

An all out action book that doesn’t skimp on the story or plot, with characters that endear themselves to the reader this is a page turner that anyone can enjoy.

We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. Seriously though, she’s referred to as Storm for the majority of the book, and I can deal with that, so why bother with the ridiculousness of ‘Stormchaser’ in the first place? Their actions and how they survive the brutal trials will change their worlds forever, that is, the dinosaurs don't attack them first. I'm not quite convinced by the romance at this moment in time but if you love The Hunger Games (which I do) or Jurassic Park (which. It was impossible to put down my conclusion:I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling read full of mystery and fantasy!I mean, okay, we’re talking about a vastly different world altogether but that sounds so far-fetched to me. Only for the past nine years, since the start of the “Trials” (which I will get to in sweet time) have they begun to get some sort of information about how the dinosaurs live? The Hunger Games meets Jurassic Park and they make a half-baked baby that possesses the remotest resemblance to each parent, is annoying as shit and makes you wonder if it was even necessary for it to be born. Again, it’s not the best book ever written in the world, and it hasn’t changed my life or anything, but it was really entertaining and I had so much fun reading it.
