The Seven Bro7hers Brewery has been a huge success for the McAvoy brothers over the past four years - and now their sisters are getting in on the act by starting their own gin distillery with their Four Sis4ers Gin brand. We are immensely proud to hit this milestone, not only as it signals growth for our brand but to also it feels fantastic to be a key employers in our community! This month we have made the sad decision to temporarily close our Liverpool Beerhouse, a statement from our CEO Keith McAvoy. from the sale of each can goes straight to the club, meaning they can continue their great work, building on their legacy while celebrating members and volunteers.
As director Keith McAvoy explains: “Before we met Warren we were uncertain what was the best direction for the business to follow - but it all became much clearer after our first few meetings. A tropical tidal wave of citrus and coconut flavours, on a smooth bed of pilsner malt, dextrin malt and anked oats. The business is now also supplying to bars and pubs across Manchester and has so far created three jobs, with more to come.It had to be the right time for the girls, it took a bit of time but seven months ago we decided to go for it. The Salford-based brewery is looking to invest in ‘near-term’ production, as well as launching the process to build a larger brewery and distillery site in city. MediaCityUK is a fantastic location, especially in the Summer, so we can’t wait to kick off and be part of the buzz. The announcement came just a matter of weeks after Simon Rimmer's much-loved vegetarian restaurant, Greens, closed its doors after 33 years.
The area around it has developed beyond recognition and it was good in the winter so I imagine it would be even better in the summer. This was a fantastic introduction to some cheeses I would not have thought to try and some beers I had not even heard of. The initial wave of funding would support the implementation of an upgraded canning line, as well as new tanks. They’re always very big, and we obviously have really big family Christmas parties too, where the girls bring the gin and rum and we bring the beer. Fun fact for the day: This week we celebrated employing more 100 staff across our Beer houses and Taproom sites.
We have two investment scenarios available to us: one is an overhaul and increase of capacity within our current premises; the second is to invest in a new destination brewery in Manchester, suitable for growth over the next 20 years,” CEO Keith McAvoy added. After many conversations and meetings in a pub over a beer around eight years ago, we decided to go for it as a business.
