I purchased this at Manchester airport, the final stop of an Incredible String Band tour of Birmingham, Liverpool, Northampton, Cambridge, Oxford, Leichester, Beverly, New Castle, and Edinburgh to learn more about Billy Connolly, and more about his friendship with Robin Williamson.

I now understand why this had been highly rated, it was a brilliant autobiography and possibly the best one I've read.He could have turned out so differently by letting those who were supposed to have raised him get to him, instead he pushed on and had the great delight of proving them all wrong. His comedy is about real-life situations that we've all been through or things our relatives, particularly our mums and dads have said to us when we were young.
