I liked the development of the various powers of the gang and appreciated the clever ways Sterling puts his necromancy to work. Even as a RE fans who finished multiple games and know a few things about character and plot, it was impossible to care about characters and what's going on. Whereas Murder Falcon takes a fantastical approach to grieving, Infinite Dark’s perspective is rooted in reality, which is a credit to how real the characters are, given Murder Falcon is set in our world and this one takes place in limitless space. Got to the end of the book and just didn't feel like there was any connection to any of the characters. This book also builds toward an intriguing crescendo of rapidfire plot points that culminate in a fantastic cliffhanger (as debut comics must).

Considered mad by many, the reckless Trapsmiths who designed this dangerously powerful contraption, took the enchanted panes of the Dark Magic Mirrors Trap and multiplied them using some dark and secretive form of alchemy. A must-read for fans of meaningful science-fiction, with extra points for so adeptly incorporating horror and mystery tinges. Coloring between the lines, however, this was enough of a fun ride that I’ll hold on for book 3, out Tuesday, … although I might wait for a sale.
