About this deal

Ito used two main artistic styles throughout the manga: a realistic one and a horror-tinged one of exaggeration.

Ito's two styles of artwork were generally seen as complementing the narrative nicely, [4] [5] with highlights being the characters of Mu and Yon, [5] the range of character facial expressions, [16] and the timing and content of the gags. stars and a recommendation to those limited few who find the idea of a horror artist doing a cute comedy ridiculously amusing.Ito used the opportunity to draw on his anecdotes of living with the cats, [1] and his wife advised him on the manga's storyboards and depicting the personalities of the cats. to eventually accepting their presence in his life to the extent that he is jealous of their relationship with his wife. Other than that, this is perfect and if you want to explore more of Junji Ito's work, but you're finding the horror hard to get into, this is the book for you! It's amazing how Junji Ito can take a rather mundane book about his new family getting two cats and turn it into horror.

Silverman wrote that A-ko's terrifying appearance reflected her love for her cats, in that she appeared "as creepy as many of us cat owners fear we do. While J-kun wrestles with his apprehension over living with Yon, A-ko adopts a kitten to keep Yon company. That said, people who are into his sort of horror might not like that when all is said and done, he just wrote a cute little book about his cats. In "The Events of One Late Night," J-kun tries to bribe the cats to sleep on his bed, rather than A-ko's, to no avail.

This story is about cat loving, it's about becoming a cat person - a true one, believe me, and about how these little furry assholes change everything when they arrive in our lives. Despite the imagery (and maybe even because of it) the comedy works even better as these monstrous creatures slowly win over his dog loving heart. However, when she moves in, she comes with two cats, Yon, a strange-looking white cat with a ghastly fur pattern on its back that resembles a skull, and Mu, Yon's cute counterpart and playmate. All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you!

Is there anything spookier than a silent feline, eyes glinting, stalking you in the night…IN YOUR OWN HOME Master of horror Junji Ito turns his twisted eye on his own life in this comedic graphic memoir about becoming a cat owner, now reissued in a deluxe hardcover featuring an exclusive interview with Ito and a NEW cover illustration by the author that GLOWS IN THE DARK! The art style is still Ito's classic horror style, but this time juxtaposed with the hilarity of the story of a non-cat-lover adjusting to life with two cats. Got a copy for myself and for another cat-loving horror fan as a way of steering them into Junji Ito and was pleased with the condition. You may have run into the little bit where Yon almost eats Junji Ito's dinner back when we were all waiting for this to get translated already. I'm giving 4 stars because I think some ink may not have dried properly, leaving a mark on some of the text where it was hard to read. Ito rysuje jak Ito, więc miałam wrażenie, że zaraz stanie się coś złego/niepokojącego, ale to zabawna, urocza historia o kotach i ludziach. In "Tread Not on Poop, Snot, or Cat," J-kun pranks A-ko with fake cat excrement, only to accidentally pick up real cat vomit thinking that it was A-ko's revenge.
