About this deal

Naturally, you are creating distinct worlds, so you’d rather make sure that your world is better than your opponents!

As tiles are drawn, the color of number in the corner of the tile will determine the actions that must be taken. A game of Legendary Forests ends as soon as all players have placed their 19th tile (when the Architect runs out of tiles) and scoring commences. tiles (5 sets numbered 1 through 25) depicting half runes along the edges along with a mix of grass, maple leaves, golden ginkgo leaves and cherry blossoms. B. Randomly choose a player: this player becomes the Architect for the entire game and begins the game with the Construction token. Our mission is to produce engaging articles like reviews, tips and tricks, game rules, strategies, etc. Each non-purple edge of a tile has a half-circle on it; when two such edges are placed together, the owner of those tiles has created a “cookie” in that area. MockUp (8ビットモックアップ) (later republished as Legendary Forests) is a multiplayer solitaire game akin to Take it Easy! Placing tree tokens in your forests will increase their beauty and worth, and at the end of the game, The closed forests will reward you with even more points! Legendary Forests is a quick (under 20 minutes) tile-laying game that is much better with this theme than the Japanese version. Monuments come in three colors (while the landscapes have areas in four colors), and you use only two monuments of a color for each player in the game.

What we didn’t expect is how quickly they would come to market and be completely different from anything else we’ve played. It would be nice if the five start tiles were all different so that couldn’t happen, but I understand that might mess with balancing. It’s a quick and light game, that you can play in around 30 minutes and not feel too taxed afterwards. Though this seems like a simple endeavour, the random way in which the tiles are drawn can make things tricky, particularly if you’re holding out for one tile that never materialises! It plays like Carcassonne (in case you can't read the title), but it has the interesting twist that all players have the same tiles and the variation comes in each player building their own 'planet'. After each player has placed all twenty tiles, the landscape creation is complete and based on the placement of the trees in relation to the completed circles, the player with the most points wins! If you have no half-circles in this area — that is, the area is completely enclosed — then you score 2 points for each cookie in that area.

The edge of each tile has a crescent shape which, when connected to another tile, forms a complete circle. If we don’t have a game you are looking for it please contact us and we will do our best to help you. Example: In this example, the Tree token in the Closed L-shaped Pink Zone scores 8 victory points (4x2), because it has 4 Full- Runes. One player is chosen as the Architect, who randomly discards five of their tiles from their set and puts the rest into a stack in front of them. The one thing you need to watch out for, though, is that more players doesn’t necessarily mean more trees come into play.Legendary Forests is played over a number of turns with four phases, but as you’ll see they move very quickly. On a dark colored number, a leader will draw a tile, inform the other players of which tile has been drawn, and all players will place that number tile in their individual forest. After the last tile has been played, each player totals their points and the player with the highest score wins the game! Once everyone knows how to play you can probably burn through games rapid fire, which would be awesome. Then the "leader" of the round draws, says its number, and each player places its corresponding tile on its landscape.

Even though I have an issue with the box and how the tiles sit willy nilly in it, that is not enough for me to not give it high recommendations, especially to fans of tile laying games. A key concept is the creation of sizeable forests of the same trees, with more points gained if the forests are closed rather than open. That being said, one thing I love about Legendary Forests that I do not see in most tile placement games is the consistency between players’ tiles. That’s not a good thing to be unsure about if you want to win the game, so make sure you’re doing a better job of tracking that when you play than I’ve done in the past. Additionally, one tree covers the entire species region – but you might still want to place a second tree in the same region just to prevent another player from having that color.

This leads to the outcome being much more about a player’s strategies and planning rather than lucky tile draws. Choosing tree tokens well is important so that you don’t find yourself needing a color that has run out.
