About this deal

This book was very interesting to read even though i read it in primary i still enjoy the book i think it was a funny and interesting book i had lots of fun reading this and i would recommend to everyone it was a brilliant book i love it. Near summer, Ruby, realising that the school where the TV movie is being filmed at is a prestigious boarding school for girls, Marnock Heights, decides that the pair ought to sign up for scholarships—of which there is only one.

This is a book that maybe mainly appeals to girls, but also towards chikdren who may be experiencing divorce. Clare's, and is keen for the two of them to go ahead and audition, even though Garnet declines and their father doesn't agree. She leaves it lying on the kitchen table innocently, knowing that Ruby in particular is likely to grab at it. If not for that, I probably never would have discovered Jacqueline Wilson - I missed these books when I was young, and they're not the sort of things I would have otherwise stumbled upon as an adult. Her books are great at getting children to really think about actions and their consequences, really opening the eyes of children to the world. It was a believable storyline that addresses many different subject matters through the twin’s diary entries. I watched the TV movie version of Double Act last night and really enjoyed it, so today I decided to reread the book.

The 1995 Medal winner, Northern Lights by Philip Pullman, was named one of the top ten by a panel of experts and was voted the public favourite for the 70th anniversary "Carnegie of Carnegies" in 2007.I do understand that no one could be like a mother to them, because your mother gave birth to you and knows every silly detail about you. I get the point, though, because as the story progresses both girls seem to grow up and accept themselves as they are. The twins Ruby and Garnet hate her the first time she sees her, which is when their dad brings her home to have tea, out off the blue and their Nan tried her best to be nice to Rose.
