About this deal

Prisoner Sirius Black has escaped the wizard prison Azkaban, and is supposedly ready to attack Harry in Hogwarts. This game is really fun to play on - at first you will probabally get stuck on the first level, but once you really get into the game, it will become easier.

On the Quidditch sequences, Harris and Villoria concluded that they lacked ambition and were not as exciting as they could have been. The Game Boy Advance version, along with the Game Boy Color and PlayStation versions, was designed with input from Harry Potter author J. Those facts make Prisoner of Azkaban a great game for younger kids, and it's a lot of fun for less-discriminating older fans of Harry Potter too. With such a rich and interesting story to be made into game form, it's a surprise that more of the book wasn't used in planning the quests. While it tries to cover all angles of the plot, it does mean that some segments of the game lack a little polish, and aren't always that enjoyable. Flipendo knocks enemies back, and can stun and kill weaker enemies, Alohomora unlocks certain types of locked doors and chests, Avifors transfigures things into birds, and there are even more spells to learn in the later parts of the game.

Also: the games completely ignore the films and just adapt the books very faithfully, I absolutely ADORE how faithful to the books the character sprites are, in contrast to the movies. The GBA version of the game is one of the few sprite-based games to have non-ambidextrous sprites for one of its characters; Harry himself has a separate set of left and right sprites to show that he always holds his wand in his right hand, but only for his spell-casting animation.GameSpot were positive about the game, scoring 7/10 or above across releases, [21] with a high of 7. Harry joins Hagrid in an investigation of an attack on a unicorn in the adjacent forest and encounters a figure drinking a dead unicorn's blood. Frank Provo of GameSpot was very positive about the GBA game's recreation of the novel; saying "The main thing to keep in mind is that Prisoner of Azkaban on the GBA offers a fun way for Harry Potter fans to step into the shoes of their favorite wizard-in-training and experience firsthand everything that happened in the third installment of the series.
