While the first book in this series had no plot but zigzagged between locations, this one has no plot, but follows about two hundred sets of characters each in their own location. It's just a shame that you have to read Inkheart to be able to really understand and enjoy Inkspell. This is a question for the Aeneid, not a middle-grade novel with Shel Silverstein and Roald Dahl quotes in the chapter headings.Satisfied that the book works, the words are all erased and replaced by the Adderhead's name, consequently making the Adderhead invincible. Readers who enjoyed Funke's Inkheart (2003) are in for a treat with this sequel, a stronger book than its predecessor. He started out as this loving granddad and turned into the biggest shithead ever, to me, it felt like she was making fun of authors who take themselves too seriously. After reuniting with Meggie, Fenoglio asks her to read Cosimo the Fair back into the story, since he died when he did not plan for him to. Not for the light-hearted, this masterpiece of children's literature surpassed my expectations not only as a sequel, but as a great read in general. In Band 2 der Tintenwelt-Trilogie geraten die Protagonisten aus dem ersten Band in die Tintenwelt, wo sie sich allerlei gefährlichen Situationen stellen müssen. Brendan Fraser's recording is so wonderful, that you won't ever forget Dustfinger's Scottish accent or the glassman cursing in French!
