The Island Escape: The laugh out loud romantic comedy you have to read this summer

Kerry Fisher’s debut novel The School Gate Survival Guide was one of my favourite books last year so I couldn’t wait for her next book. In case you're wondering, the feel-good was there after all and I couldn't put down the last third of the book and finished it with a great, big smile. And let me tell you right here, right now, that "The Island Escape" has totally lived up to my expectations. My favorite male character was Jake, who in my opinion is one of the best male fictional characters I've ever read about. The island, from the title, doesn’t play the biggest part but there is such a summery feel to the story, even down to uplifting feel that life is for living, not regretting. The whole thing is a low budget action-horror-sci-fi film, featuring some middle brow acting, decent practical effects, and- what seems like- a pretty straight forward storyline (at least at first).
