How you perceive the ambient light spilling over at the back of your TV, is down to your preference and watching habits. I suspect it might have something to do with eARC or attempting to pass through an HDR signal on boot. I found dark blue being emitted by the lights when it's light grey on the screen or in the spectrum of grey instead of a light white. The best place to keep everything neat is to 3M tape the box to the back of the TV alongside the rest. I don't really care about VRR and I watch more movies these days than play games, and this is perfect for those.The colours are matched well and the resolution (adjustable) translates the information from a movie into awesome spillover. Another concept I'd like to see explored might be rumble and tactile systems; currently rumble is passed through to game controllers as sort of an audio format (and the game box makes the signal, passing it straight to the controller,) but there also could be a signal standardized as part of the HDMI spec for different types of rumble use.
