I also commented about how some of the chapter seemed incomplete, sometimes two or three chapters needed to be read to something move on the plot. Adding to the "forced" aspect is the fact that they're wearing explosive collars and if no one dies for twenty four hours, the guys in charge will kill everyone.Turns out, the princess summoned the girls to kill her because she fell in love with her kidnapper and because of this and a contract she made to forbid her to think of nothing but the world, the world ends up in turmoil and she can't kill herself. Now you are already falling at a speed close to the terminal velocity, when the force of air drag becomes equal to the force of gravity, thus cancelling the acceleration. Scout, Jem, and Dill unexpectedly show up, and Scout inadvertently breaks the mob mentality by recognizing and talking to a classmate's father, causing the would-be lynchers to disperse. I would like to get better acquainted with characters like Mireille, seeing her development (in fact, I believe Mireille has the potential to become my favourite character). Adam Christopher's Made to Kill has all the pulpy drama you would expect and namedropped characters from novels and Christopher's sense of humour in a comical sci-fi novel.

In keeping the tone of the story lighthearted, particularly in how the system interprets action, zechamp provides a refreshing take to the genre. The fact that even children are forced to hand out violence to defend themselves adds to the cynicism of a setting. This tale of robot noir is unlike anything I've ever read -- Adam's is a weird and wonderful voice and we are lucky to have it.
