About this deal

WONKA — The Magical Adventure of a Young Chocolate Maker Comes Home on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on February 27th! With the tribe on the brink of collapse, three unlikely heroes - Kevin, Stuart and Bob - embark on a journey to find a new big boss. I didn’t even notice any major banding at ALL on the disc while viewing (which is rare with animated material). Minions: The Rise Of Gru is another jaunt through this silly world of Despicable Me, once again picking a past decade as a sandbox to play in.

Co-directors Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson, and Jonathan del Valle keep things moving, and at an appropriately brief 87 minutes, the film never quite wears out its welcome, despite the familiarity. Here we get a tale that consists of a period story where we get to see both Gru and his Minions early on, providing a glimpse into their devotion to one another. Minion Marital Arts looks at the way that comedic martial artists like Jackie Chan and Stephen Chow influenced the Minion style of Kung Fu in the film.

The mix effectively places effects/sounds within the soundstage which place you within the scene, in turn, adding an enriching element that heightens the intended feeling like something is passing overhead, traveling through the room, or emanating from a specific location. There’s a “formatted for IMAX” logo during the closing credits, but it appears that The Rise of Gru was nevertheless shown at 2. Minion Martial Arts (1080p, 4:12): Looking at the use of martial arts in the film and the influences that pushed the film's direction. The characters are fun and funky with the touches of disco, kung fu and exploitation easily apparent. The pandemic held them off, but those pesky Minions were back in Summer 2022 with another despicable adventure.MINIONS AND MONSTERS (MINI MOVIE) – Follow a newbie Minion as he joins three more experienced Minions in playing a 1970's fantasy role-playing game. There’s no denying the popularity of the Minions for a generation and continued children who discover them every single day.

POST MODERN MINIONS (MINI MOVIE) – Experience one Minion’s rise and fall as an artistic genius when he sneaks into a 1970’s post-modern art gallery with a fellow Minion and unintentionally creates an explosive new art form that is declared by a snooty art critic as the greatest art he’s ever seen. Sandra Bullock's valiant attempts to replace Carell as the main supervillain/protagonist only really further highlighted the primary issue - that lack of Gru - and, after a further, better received (although admittedly, the least poorly received of the main trilogy) Despicable Me outing, bringing back Gru and Carell into the prequel's narrative (particularly given the conclusion of the last one) seemed like a wise move. Computer animation offers plenty of opportunity for HDR to stand and deliver, and The Rise of Gru is no exception.Minions: The Rise of Gru isn’t as well rounded as the best the series has to offer but, it successfully incorporates enough slapstick, witty dialog, spirited adventure and family warmth to rate just a notch or two below. Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement. POST MODERN MINIONS (MINI MOVIE) – Experience one Minion's rise and fall as an artistic genius when he sneaks into a 1970's post-modern art gallery with a fellow Minion and unintentionally creates an explosive new art form that is declared by a snooty art critic as the greatest art he's ever seen.
