About this deal

MPC gives you three painting options for the Eagle: a plain white transport, a red-and-white striped rescue module, and the orange VIP transport I built. scale resin, vinyl and plastic construction kit based on Metamorph Eagle (booster pod, spine boosters and the New Adam New Eve side boosters). clear acrylic and templates for the windows which will need to be cut out of the beak, instructions included.

I was needlessly worried about the weathering, and probably cleaned up the wash too much too, it definitely would have looked okay with a bit more dirt. Eye-popping Packaging: The striking packaging graphics make a great display when placed right next to your finished model. I would have liked to have had more prominent colour boxes/textures/shading added, to be more like the filming models, there are a few shaded boxes on the model but the colour is too close to the base colour so they hardly show in these photos. I spent 24 hours building MPC’s Eagle and recommend it to intermediate modelers and above looking to add one or more transports to their collection. In “Breakaway”, the Space:1999 premiere episode, it was clear to see that the iconic Eagle spacecraft was truly unique.

I painted them flat black and installed the parts along with the flying display piece for the stand. The module is about 5 inches in length, although following the more detailed 1/24 command module seen in close-up.

Can be displayed extended or retracted and is designed to allow the builder to install magnets (not supplied) for attachment. Accurate" decals and detailed instruction sheet (the parts breakdown is exactly the same as the 22 inch version). For the Ultra Probe, the neck behind the command module is far too long, the front tank cylinders behind are far too short, and the framework spine has obvious distortion. It comes moulded in two colours with clear parts and includes water-slide decals and assembly guide. The Comlock and Stun Gun were standard equipment for the officers and security staff of Moonbase Alpha where all the action happened in the Space:1999 TV show. Its design suggested insect-like features with swappable components such as its central "pod," which could serve as a personnel carrier, a rescue center or as a posh transport for V. The MPC Space 1999 Eagle Transporter 22" Long from the plastic Sci-Fi model kits range accurately recreates the spacecraft from the Space 1999 television series.

I followed the instructions and assembled the crew module followed by the fore and aft walkways, painting subassemblies as I went. The Eagle nose cone is a cast of the third Eagle model, and the side pods and passenger pod cast from David Sisson's replica. Construction and painting requires significant model making experience (the instructions are generally regarded as inadequate, although these have been expanded in later editions). This kit allows you to add an interior back wall and pilots to the MPC 1/72 Space 1999 Eagle Transporter. Includes a copy of Roberto Baldassari's ultimate Eagle blueprints and Phil Rae's blueprint reprinted from SIG magazine. The model has been revised several times; initial versions had leg pods similar to the first 44inch studio model, later ones were based on the second 44inch studio model. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

This large scale plastic model kit of the Eagle Transporter from Space 1999 measures 22″ (56cm) long and features a huge amount of detail. Includes additional resin parts to create the version of Eagle 1 that featured a lab pod as well as the booster pack. Fitting Part 37 around the fuel tanks proved tricky; I installed the combustion chambers (parts 38 and 39), then added the fuel pipe (Part 42). Parts are provided in off-white, gray and clear, and the kit includes all necessary marking decals so it can be built without the need for paint if desired. Its utilitarian nature was clearly demonstrated when the central passenger pod was swapped out to perform duties ranging from general transportation to rescue missions, but the feature became even more apparent when the cargo pod was implemented. In its first appearance in the episode, War Games, a squadron of ships decimated Moonbase Alpha’s fleet of Eagle Transporters. As seen in the Space 1999 episode 'War Games', this model kit is in scale with the WARP and Product Enterprise Eagles. Sold in a bubble pack, with red and black card art (series logo and rescue Eagle over lunar surface, art by Graham Bleathman). The true origin of the Space:1999 Hawk starship is a bit of a mystery, but it was fully intended to be a formidable weapon.
