About this deal

The large set piece in the finale, finishes things off with a bang as flying debris, atmospherics, and near field objects rotate, and revolve around the soundstage from both above and at ear level. Additionally, Peter Parker embarks on his most emotional journey yet with this sequel that delivers Tom Holland's best performance to date as the web-slinging wall-crawler. The music score is carefully integrated into the sound design and is wonderfully transparent and three dimensional.

Yet this is such an efficient screenplay that Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers deserve some recognition too. A sneak peek for Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness plays at the end of the film’s credits. The mix is big, wide, and atmospheric, with plenty of bluster, robust low end, and smooth panning and movement all around the soundstage. This film looks great on Blu-ray and features excellent video quality that exhibits high level detail, stable sharpness and revealing definition. It juggles a first act of mania following the reveal of Spider-Man's true identity, with superb aplomb, infusing comic energy into the brewing sense of desperation (the surprise cameo paralleling the similar reveal in Hawkeye wonderfully, showing the first of a succession of hints as to the boundless future of these universes), before embarking on the 'verse-shattering events that lead to an influx of old, familiar faces, on both sides of the chessboard.Orange, yellow, and red explosions are bold and the silver and brownish backgrounds of the cityscape are phenomenal.

Optional subtitles are available in English, English SDH, Cantonese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai. Sure, it's a digitally shot and thus a very clean, some might argue, very digital-looking production - detail excellent on close-up, but faces slick at middle range - but that's just the style of the piece.Marvel's Phase 4 has had a bit of a rocky time of it recently - not unlike the entire population of the earth - not quite finding its mojo despite some promising TV shows, and despite the potential of the Big Screen affairs it has had to quickly slap on Disney+. As a teenager struggling with everyday turmoil including school, homework and a crush on a girl who's out of his league, Peter also has to deal with the fact that he is Spider-Man and has the ability to change the world. We reviewed the UK 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Spider-Man: No Way Home on an LG 55B7 Dolby Vision 4K Ultra HD OLED TV with a Panasonic DP-UB820EB-K Dolby Vision HDR10+ 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player . If Homecoming was about Spidey finding his footing in the early Avengers days, and Far From Home was about him finding his own place in a world without his mentor, No Way Home completes this trilogy by at first unleashing all things Spidey - including his identity - and then tearing his whole world down, from tech to teammates. There are also segments on the stunts, the Easter eggs, and the process of bringing actors from Sony’s previous Marvel films back to the big screen.

Color reproduction is consistent, with primaries like blue, red, and green appearing richer, even a bit more delineated.Close ups are noticeably refined and revealing of the subtlest details within facial features and objects within the frame. Plus, depending on the movie, HDR has an affect on animation, that it doesn't seem to have on live action.
