About this deal

QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II utilise both active and passive noise reduction technologies. Extreme range testing aside, I only had three skips in regular usage over the course of about a week, so not bad at all. You say about EQ, yes, I can EQ them, but these ( IMHO) should only be considered for travelling or mobility, if you need ANC, otherwise a pair of K371 + Fiio BTR5 performs way better, apart from applying EQ or not. Before you power on the headphone for the first time, you’re prompted to download the Bose app for your phone as the headphone will require using the app for many features like toggling noise cancellation, remapping the Google Assistant button, updating firmware and more.

We have changed Mic Mute to 'Yes' in Controls, and changed the wired connection to '1/16" TRRS' in Wired. The rest of the buttons are pretty much the same as the previous model and give you access to most common commands. The newer headphones have this frustrating habit of overemphasizing highs to a degree that makes music with lots of cymbals a bit difficult to listen to.What you’re really paying for with the QC 35 II is all of the smart-like features and grade-A noise canceling. If not BT, could you test that too, maybe even just by ear compared to wired if you cant run your signals in via BT? They're also a bit more compact to carry around than the Bose but don't come with a case like the Bose do.

The Bose sounded better to my ears but the Sony had received some great ratings and reviews and it wasn't Bose. In addition, comparison of measurements between different people performing it using different configurations requires fair bit of skill. The Bose are much more comfortable, have a much better-balanced sound profile, and isolate noise better. The Bose QuietComfort 35 II/QC35 II Wireless 2018 are better and more versatile headphones than the Audio-Technica ATH-DSR9BT Wireless thanks to their very comfortable fit and well-balanced and natural sound profile. The Bose QuietComfort 35 II/QC35 II Wireless 2018 are better headphones than the Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless. Given what I'm seeing in the various measurements, I don't think this headphone would be on any of my shortlists. They also have a better overall battery performance and can be paired with up to two devices at a time. They use a sophisticated proprietary electronics approach to active noise reduction, placing microphones both inside and outside the earcups.
