About this deal

The name fits this fragrance sooo well, huge dose of incense, spices and Orris all the way, it shares some similarities with under my skin, being a bolder, less sensual version of it.

Parfum, Aqua, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Eugenol, Geraniol, Citronellol, D-Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Hydroxycitronellal, Citral, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Anise Alcohol, Isoeugenol, Benzyl, Cinnamate. It brought me back to the warm low lit funeral home where my dad was waked during a snowy December day. Dark Side will give you a scintillating headstart with its heady notes and keep you prepared for those close encounters. The resins, the vanilla, and then you sense something lurking behind, like movement caught in the corner of your eye in a half dark room you thought you were all alone in.only spritzed a tiny dot on my wrist and my boyfriend sitting at the other end of the room can smell it.

It is a warmly sensual, addictive, dark scent which evokes the private, mysterious side we like to keep secret. Only a frag lover’s review, wondering about the possibility of the presence of Oud, which was not enlisted in the pyramid, made her remember about her lovely fragrant memory from Marrakesh. This does not prevent me from loving this perfume which has an excellent outfit where the notion of extract is respected, thank you for this original work. After a few hours of different notes slowly changing on your skin Francesca Bianchi’s The Dark Side now, almost feels religious, spiritual and personal. Luckily she released Byzantine Amber, which is an amber perfume that doesn’t rely on the modern cloying insta-niche ingredient.

I used to enjoy writing reviews here for different fragrances but something changed and I felt that it isn't worth it. This one opens with a nauseating dark sour floral stew; like flowers have been mashed up and sitting in water for a day.

I personally don't get any incense, no church resembling notes, all I get is a very potent physiological smell. Yet there is a slumbering animalic note that seems almost too, devilish, to be part of this holy construct. I love under my skin so much, but this enters kind of a musty territory for me, but i'm trying to take my time to understand it. Un the background the powdery power of iris and Violet and a sweet Woody vibe with the sandakwood, the cedarwood and the vanilla. As it evolves, patchouli steps in, adding depth, and in the drydown, it lightens up smoothly with vanilla and cacao. I didn't get much in the way of "obvious" or overwhelming spices, and nothing animalic jumped out at me, but that may have just been my nose and/or the weather at the time I sampled this scent. Not a perfume I reach out to that often, but a perfume that I know has my spiritual back when I need it. Still, it's a bit screechy to my nose - a bit like the pungent dry down of Nishane Afrika-Olifant, but just a slap instead of AF's kick. It is said that you can never hide your true self, but what if you can unleash a your striking demeanor with a fragrance.

I put my eyes on this perfume as soon as I saw the name and the reviews describing this as dark/gothic and "what vampires would wear". Today I walked into my husband's office and (after saying good morning) immediately asked "what's that smell. Straightforward at first sniff, then hauntingly soft, turning dry and intense like wood, intimate and delicate as lace. It starts off very strong and powdery, but give it an hour and it settles into the most stunning scent. There is a dusty/powder vibe to this fume as seems to be the thing with most of Francesca's fragrances, it's almost chalk like in some ways.
