He was immediately transferred to closed conditions in a vulnerable prisoner’s unit in HMP Warren Hill, in Suffolk, where he remains to this day. They must be satisfied that an offender can be managed safely in the community before they direct release. By the late 60’s David was stationed at Portsmouth Naval base in Portsmouth England, where he joined his first ship, HMS Eagle. In 2006, Mcgreavy was however being prepared for parole due to the amount of time he had served, and was staying at a bail hostel in Liverpool.
