Furthermore, if those who decide the allocations of the real and unreal are cruel, mad or colossally wrong, what then? Amis attributes this division to his feelings of embarrassment and guilt for the impulsive and naive decisions he made while younger. This is only one of several episodes where Amis is apparently extremely recognizable and everyone is clearly familiar with his life as well as his future plans.
