About this deal

I’ve been hearing both good and bad things about it so I was eager to try it for myself, because I absolutely loved all four of Katy’s Killer Queen fragrances and was excited to see what she’d come out with next. It lasts easily 12 hours, and the sillage is just right for me - just a couple of feet around me, so I'm enveloped in this gorgeous purple, sweet, flowery smell.

I shall delete my other review as feels a bit pointless after find out better about what mad love is really like. Turns out I delayed to acquire this magic potion and I hate how long I was rejecting it thinking "oh another childish sugar bomb", not giving it a chance.

I cannot get anything but synthetic vanilla from this,no other notes at all,it's weak and pretty boring tbh.

When I got into the car, I really couldn't believe that the most pleasant perfume amongst the ones I tried was pretty much THIS. Not usually into celeb fragrances, as I find them generic and watermelon-scented but those 2 definitely grab me.I was really curious about what the notes are because I didn't have my phone on me when I tested it and I'm surprised this has anything other than floor cleaner in it. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy or reliability of the AI-generated pros and cons. This fragrance adds such a nice dose of vanilla, sweetness and warmth to whatever fragrance you mix it with. I liked it when I paid a couple dollars for it but it is NOT worth the 40 plus dollars they are asking for Mad Potion.

Maybe it's just the bottle I have (purchased in a pack with Mad Love at Walmart), but at first, when I sprayed this, the sillage was incredibly soft, and I could barely smell a thing. On me it smells much more like Indult Tihota or Outremer Vanille (minus the cotton candy, thank god) than any of the other perfumes it's supposed to smell similar to. It takes over a dozen sprays before the scent becomes even remotely noticeable on the skin; and once you are able to smell it, it only lasts for less than 30 minutes or so. there is some distant vanilla, but it's gone before I can even describe it, I guess a body mist has better longevity than this, so what's the point, shouldn't there be some twist judging by the name?

To be honest, the beginning reminds me of Jeu d'Amour l'Elixir Kenzo, not that is similar, just my nose makes a shadow of correlation with it.

Furthermore, the liquid itself appears to be a hazy purple… I’m not sure if this is some trick of the light that the bottle was created to produce, or if the liquid actually has a purple tint to it that disappears once airborne, kinda like how Gaga’s black “Fame” fragrance did a few years ago. It's very feminine, and not at all too sweet; it has a good balance of the flowers and apple, with the very lovely vanilla and musk. I don't know what it is about this perfume, I know the cotton candy scent has been done time and time again since the beginning of perfume but this one is magical to me.While I do consider myself a vanilla enthusiast, I must say that if I wanted a scent this simplistic I’d probably stick with Body Fantasies Vanilla, considering it is far cheaper.
