La Roche-Posay Hydreane Teinte is a tinted moisturiser for sensitive skin that helps to reduce skin sensitivity* and enhances the skins natural radiance. Also it was meant to be a “less heavy” alternative to makeup for the summer, and I’m bound to get a bit of a tan in the next few weeks so that may sort itself out as well - but maybe keep it in mind if you’re quite fair skinned. Bascially, it's everything you love about the original treatment, with the addition of a blend of mineral pigments that create a sheer tint of colour. When wanting to look a bit more 'done', I like to layer the tint and then use concealer over the top, so it acts more like a primer. Its micro drops group together to form a strong protection providing homogenous, non-migrating and very resistant protection. The only thing that bugs me about this product is that it's only available in two shades - Light and Medium.So, when I received a tube of the new La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + Unifiant*, I couldn't wait to try it.

It provides sheer coverage that visibly reduces the appearance of redness and imperfections, and with continued use skin’s texture appears more refined and mattified. Re-apply frequently and generously to maintain protection, especially after perspiring or towelling. LHA gently exfoliates skin and provides keratolytic action to speed up the renewal of skin cells, procerad prevents and treats inflammatory hyperpigmentation. With use the complexion is delicately enhanced and even, naturally radiant; the skin is left moisturised and soothed, more supple and comfortable throughout the day.Used the effaclar duo moisturiser without tint for a while, but decided to try this tinted version - it is slightly lighter in shade than I would like (couldn’t see a dark option), but gives decent coverage and is a good base with a little bronzing on top. I can just about make the palest shade work for me as it's so sheer, if I blend it right down my neck to avoid a dreaded tide-line. Apply to the entire face after cleansing either for use on its own as sheer coverage or as a primer to even out skin tone before applying make-up.

When applying the Effaclar Duo + Unifiant, I have to use a hydrating lotion beforehand and then layer this product over the top as a last step, so as not to dilute the tint that it gives. This is exactly the same skincare product as Effaclar Duo (regular one), but with light foundation effect (like BB cream). La Roche-Posay dermocosmetics prove their quality not only through the demonstrable results of clinical trials but also the numerous recommendations from leading dermatologists. Otherwise great product - I had used the non-tinted version previously so I knew it would suit my skin and help with spots and redness. That is why La Roche-Posay uses minimal ingredients in its products and they are created on the basis of a strict production charter.

Just like the original, the Effaclar Duo + Unifiant has a lightweight, gel-creme texture and absorbs quickly, leaving a soft, velvety feel to the skin. For many, including myself, their Efflaclar Duo + is the star of the line and, when it was reformulated a couple of years ago, the results only got better. I do suffer from some congestion around my chin and jawline, though, and those unwelcome blemishes that miraculously spring up right before a big event or special occasion. The lightweight moisturiser contains all of the award-winning benefits of the best-selling Effaclar blemish treatment, with the addition of a subtle tint to create a natural, even complexion.
