About this deal

I’ve struggled with a lot of day creams as I find they don’t keep my skin moisturised or again, affect my makeup base (oh the joys of combination skin! I absolutely love Pixi's Glow Tonic which is essentially a 5% glycolic acid toner which is renowned for gently exfoliating the skin, brightening the complexion and restoring its natural glow. They also have dupes for the elemis cleansing balm, benefit mascaras, NARS concealer, and more under the Lacura brand - all of which continue to receive rave reviews online. I hope you enjoyed reading my review of this product; if you did, make sure you’re following me on here and on social media to stay up to date with when I post.

I really liked the Aldi Lacura Rose Tonic, as I absolutely loved it’s very overpowering fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Rose scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it’s scent wasn’t so overpowering. This component makes up five per cent of the formula and is second on the ingredients list and is also joined by witch hazel and aloe vera to add gentle skincare elements. Coming in a tall bottle complete with signature green Pixi label and lid, glow tonic offers liquid exfoliation, thanks to key active glycolic acid. The TL; DR version of HA is that it's a huge polymer (big molecule from repeated subunits) found in the skin that acts as a sponge helping the skin to hold onto water, being plump and elastic. Retinol is quite low down but this has 5% Niacinamide, so it should be a good “lots of Niacinamide but not as hefty as 10% Niacinamide” product, replacing the Simple soothing toner which never specified the exact content but has been reformulated to have less active ingredient since I last tested it, so here are some new tests and ingredients: https://imgur. The lightly fresh scent is near identical to Pixi’s, although, if pushed, we’d say Lacura’s is probably slightly fainter.

What seems to be a true difference, though, is that the salt form is more stable, easier to formulate and cheaper so it pops up more often on the ingredient lists. An often used glycol that works as a solvent, humectant, penetration enhancer and also gives a good slip to the products. As with all fragrance ingredients, citronellol can also cause allergic contact dermatitis and should be avoided if you have perfume allergy. I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing and radiant for at least an entire day after I had used it. The formula is designed to cleanse and nourish skin while deep-cleaning pores, aiding in the removal of grime and dirt. This combo of power ingredients was created to brighten, tones and condition your skin, as well as gradually diminishing signs of sun damage, fine lines, scarring and other imperfections. Once inside the skin, it hydrates, but not from the outside - putting pure water on the skin (hello long baths! The generic term for nice smelling stuff put into cosmetic products so that the end product also smells nice. It smells like rose and can be found in rose oil or in small quantities in geranium, lemon and many other essential oils.
