About this deal

Lauren is alone on the maternity ward with her new-born twins when a terrifying encounter in the middle of the night leaves her convinced someone is trying to steal her children. Sunset was a wonderful sister to her siblings and it was sad to see her being the responsible one and trying to fix things. The book is quite UNIQUE because , i never read a book like this before i dont want to give too much away but destiny is going to meet her dad in a very unusual way….

Despite this, the story itself and the themes explored are extremely important and make this a worthwhile read. The book received mostly positive reviews from critics, [12] who praised its plot, eerie writing style, [2] characterization, and exploration of themes related to childbirth and parental anxiety. Some of Wilson’s books are brilliant, but as with any prolific author, some of the themes and characters tend to blur into one another somewhat. It turns out there is much folklore about the idea of babies being stolen or switched just after birth. It is an absolutely beautiful heartwarming story about a girl who hasnt ever met her dad and it is a race for her to find out who her dad is however on the other side of the country is his present wife who is trying to keep him and the Kids away…. The main idea of the book is based on the European myth of the Changeling, an evil fairy who abducts babies and leaves in their place its own creatures.

A terrible hemorrhage post-birth provided an additional trauma and now she finds herself in constant pain, alone and questioning her ability to handle motherhood. I tutted at the end of one chapter because I needed to know what was going to happen, but in true thriller fashion, there was a break. Destiny and Sunset are beautifully drawn characters, voices from utterly different worlds finding their own identities against the odds. Little Darlings is Melanie Golding’s debut novel and is a sharp, unsettling, creepy tale that had me questioning what was real or not the whole way through thanks to its clever structure and execution.Mother knows best” takes on a sinister new meaning in this unsettling thriller perfect for fans of Neil Gaiman and Grimms’ Fairy Tales. In terms of this being a mystery thriller, the story actually takes quite a predictable path, so what you think is happening at the start is exactly what it turns out to be, however, it’s also ambiguous and leaves the reader asking questions.

How could her brain conjure something that seemed so real, something laden with so much horrifying detail, and yet there be nothing at all? I blinked twice and my mum yanked it out of my hand, it seemed like I was so interested I wasn't even blinking "Snap out of it, girl" mum would say, 'Alright, Alright. Gripping, making you want to scream at the characters, intriguing with the mental health aspect, and chilling, leaving you haunted right down until the last word. Destiny because she was looking after her mum and she’s got an amazing voice and she didn’t give up with her mum to look for her dad. The mounting evidence of ever more and ever worse skulduggery will pull Tempe deeper and deeper down what even she sees as a rabbit hole before she confronts a ringleader implicated in “Drugs.Destiny lives with her mum on a rundown council estate and the only luck she has ever really had is her mum inheriting money from a former patient. I read this in like mild curiosity after borrowing it from my younger siblings bookshelf cuz I had nothing else to read i read it in like one sitting in a few hours.
