From a contractor’s perspective I’d prefer it used 2-4 XGT batteries, but I can see the appeal of only needing to carry and charge the one unit. Whether you bought into Makita’s cordless systems or not, is this something you would add to your kit? Also 1800w max would be preferable- I have a corded Dewalt miter saw and Skil SPT-99 table saw I rather like, it would be great to have a silent and fume-free solution to power them in a pinch. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). I’ve tested this device under long term load (like 200W) for 2 hours continuously – I haven’t observed any problems.

This small inverter generator is good for small household items such as lights, small TVs, laptops, fans, USB chargers, etc. That said, the real solution to that problem is to invest in a more efficient cordless miter saw and eventually table saw, or jump up to a higher capacity power supply from Ecoflow etc that could handle 2500w+ peaks during startup and heavy ripping. All such RMA’s may receive a complete replacement unit, replacement parts, full or a partial refund at the sole discretion of Onevan. I have a 1000W its runs my 500W drill, but the 500W angle grinder has a spaz attack till it gets enough start speed. It does not look like there’s any way to power this with Makita’s XGT 40V Max cordless power tool batteries.

My biggest worry is running the makita charger(DC18SD), so I’m goin to be charging through the pure sine wave inverter so utilising 240v at 70w on the nameplate of the charger. I make a ''GENERAL'' point, and I'm not having a go at you, it is a ''general'' across the board, the ''whole'' question needs be addressed. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Anyway, since Inverters usually have overdischarge protection set for lead acid batteries on around 10,5V – and since we need to add at least 1V for buck converter – this is not the case here.

My only complaints would be the Sys-1 Makpak- they are horrible and I wish Makita would adopt the newer standards. It would also be more enticing if the battery could stay attached/contained to the unit, and more systainers could remain on top while the inverter is in use. I don’t think anything more will be useful for this type of power source, or even with the car battery. For aggregated current lines use 10mm 2 wires (at least 6mm 2), for battery->switch->fuse->buck converter->aggregator 4mm 2 wires will be sufficient.Haven’t check what cells Makita uses, but one of the best Sony VP6 should not be discharged to less then to 2,5V.

Makita also makes a DC cigarette lighter style vehicle slow charger for LXT batteries, so that may be a better way to charge if you’re worried about the losses and not worried about the extended charge time. Battery Compatibility- This power supply inverter only works for Makita 18V lithium batteries, such as BL1815 BL1820B BL1830 BL1830B BL1840 BL1840B BL1850 BL1850B BL1860 etc. Even if we set the output of buck converter as low as 11V – they will stop working when Makita batteries reach around 12-12,5V (2,4V per cell). Features: ● It can be applied to Makita lithium batteries; 4 batteries (high to low voltage) are used in turn , and 4 batteries have a design power display. If a replacement unit or replacement parts are requested, please be aware that the fulfillment time frame is based on product availability and alternatives may be offered.

Obviously this makes the most sense if you have another use for the PDC1200 battery, which at this stage is targeted mainly at professional landscapers. Safe and Secure: Equipped with a small fan and ventilation holes to increase the heat dissipation function. Compact LED Nightlight: Featuring a 450LM LED work light, with its compact size (4 x 3 x 4in) and lightweight 0.

Makita also adds that it can power site lighting at jobsites and other such environments where AC power might not be easily available. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Travel Camping full outdoor can charge Android/iPhone, DC can charge some small appliances with DC, inverter socket can be used for small outdoor refrigerators, coffee machines, small fans, laptops, shavers, outdoor travel Small household appliances, two-speed LED lights, can emit light. So finally for 800W load, we should get around 18minutes of run on four batteries, two will give us only 9 minutes.I’ve checked 12V and 24V, car inverters and sadly they all have over/under voltage protection that will not work with 18V Makita (that can vary from 20V to as low as 10V). Makita’s spec sheet mentions that, if the output is 750W or greater, the PDC01 “may stop outputting due to the battery protection function. Dual USB can charge your two mobile phones at the same time: the inverter socket design can charge your notebook, razor, lights, small fans, etc.
