About this deal
And again, it’s pretty common sense and parents should give themselves more credit that they can follow their own instincts. Some of this information really surprised me (baby sleeping not in your room and daily baths for example…both not recommended by our local baby 101 class) but other portions of this were super informative where I knew NOTHING about before (like starting to feed babies solids).
I went to every OB and ultrasound appointment alone and felt rushed out of the room even though my appointments were already less than 10 minutes long. This collection gives you everything you need to sleep, feed, laugh and love those first few months. Jennifer Walker, RN, BSN, is a pediatric nurse, public speaker, infant and toddler care consultant, and mother of three. this method has not only allowed Shiloh to sleep really well at night, but it brought a little bit of structure back to MY life. This book does seem like one I would refer back to often though, especially if we want to try a formed schedule. But what truly sets this book apart is its proven strategies to help your baby sleep through the night so you can too!
It simply provides a sample schedule where the baby has the same amount of wake time and naps every day.
Thinking back to those dark days, I’m realizing a lot of my frustration stems from books like these - the ones that make you feel like you should put your baby on a schedule, have them sleep through the night ASAP, and if you don’t, well, it’s because you didn’t do exactly as we prescribed.
