I loved this volume so much and once I started it thinking I would read a chapter in between breaks of my novel book, I couldn’t put it down! harmless and adorable as cats and turn them into terrifying killing machines that will stop at nothing to feast on human flesh. Creative and funny idea, and while the actions taken are pretty much copy-pasted from a lot of apocalypse flicks only changed to be non-violent and use cat stuff, it falls flat pretty hard. The artwork is pretty solid, more of an old school manga style, the dialogue is really trite and cutesy. So, with his wisdom, Kunagi sets off to find a way to undo this cat zombie virus and make a world where humans and cats can live in peace once more. The characters are also well-drawn, with their expressions and body language perfectly conveying their fear and desperation. Its unique take on the zombie genre makes it perfect reading for Halloween, especially for those who prefer their horror to have a B-movie charm rather than being heavy on gore or intense scares. But the final scene of this story shows a cat riding a bear down a deserted city street, and there are few things that would better qualify as "jumping the shark", aside from literal shark jumping.
