Coincidentally, I was reading Greta Thunberg’s Climate Book, the day I received an advance copy of Jackson’s novel. Katie ventures out in risky scouting missions for food to ensure their survival, resulting in a chance encounter with a group of survivors putting she and Harry at risk. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc.Katie is a weak little woman who can't even bear to think about the past in any way and spends half the time mooning over her lost fiancee that she needs more than life itself, apparently. An outstandingly credible and gripping adventure story, rooted in a deep understanding of both ecology and family. Years after a mocroplastic mega storm killed much of the population, we meet Katie, surviving in an apartment with her son Harry, who has never known a world other than the current state it is in. Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Towards the end, I was feeling an impatience to reach their final destination and find out if Katie’s fiancé was alive after all, but once I reached the end, it all felt worth it.

It's been a while since I read a book and genuinely hated every single character in it, but this one accomplished that easily.It’s a good book, but maybe not the best choice if you are feeling depressed or have severe environmental/climate anxiety.
