About this deal

The 2015 Christmas special, series 8, the 2017 special, series 9, the live episode of not going out and Series 10, have not been released on DVD and are not available on any online video service for legal viewing.

Lee comes close to admitting his feelings to Lucy several times over the course of the series, particularly at the end of episodes Therapy and Play, but although she is receptive, he changes his mind each time. As ever, uber-ditzy friend Daisy (Katy Wix) is on hand to offer her usually unsolicited and always completely unique take on events, while Lee’s dad (Bobby Ball) and Lucy’s parents only ever seem to result in him further tying himself in ever-more-complicated knots. Also features Hugh Dennis, Abigail Cruttenden, Geoffrey Whitehead, Deborah Grant, Bobby Ball and more.Although his frequent laziness annoys her, Lucy sometimes appears to enjoy Lee's presence in the flat, largely because of his company and his willingness to help her out of an awkward situation. The two security guards were attacked by the armed robber who locked them all in the security room, and Lee had a showdown with the armed robber.

This is the man who walked out of the family home when Lee was four, never paid his maintenance and ate Lee’s goldfish. In the last episode, Tim and Lee are convinced Guy is a gangster and has been smuggling diamonds, but it turns out that he was having a diamond engagement ring made for Lucy planning to propose on a romantic holiday.

In the opening dialogue of the series, it is explained that he has been given a work placement in Germany. All seems to be going well for Lucy and Lee until a murder mystery game brings family tensions to a head. The misadventures continue with Lee, Lucy and Daisy getting stuck in a cable car on an Eastern European skiing trip, Lee convincing Lucy to spend a weekend on his dad's ( Bobby Ball) 'stylish' new boat even though she is terrified of water and Lucy accidentally running over her client's daughter's beloved pet rabbit. Lee's actions to impress Lucy continue well into Series 5, when they both think they accidentally slept together after drinking potato hooch. Written by and starring Lee Mack (the British Comedy Award and BAFTA winning comedian), series seven of this hit sitcom continues to follow the hilariously ill-thought-out plans and mishaps of Lee as he desperately tries to impress long suffering landlady and object of his affection, Lucy (Sally Bretton).Having developed feelings for Lucy and successfully sabotaged her relationship with her then-boyfriend Guy, Lee still has no significant plans to confront her, and distractions such as pregnancies, insurance scams, and lesbian neighbours keep his mind off the bigger picture.

Later on in the series, Tim forms a relationship with Daisy ( Katy Wix), an incredibly dim-witted, but likeable, young woman. This idea did not go ahead, as the first episode took place over a year after Frank's death; however, series 12 episode 1 was still a tribute to Ball. BAFTA Winning comedians LEE MACK and TIM VINE star alongside SALLY BRETTON (Green Wing), MIRANDA HART (Miranda), MEGAN DODDS (Spooks) and KATY WIX (Torchwood) in the hit BBC1 primetime series NOT GOING OUT. Frank was working as an elf in the Christmas department, when Lee, Lucy and Daisy were with Toby and Anna, who had sent their son away over Christmas. This leads to Lee both finding out that he was an unplanned child and held responsible for the breakdown in his parents' marriage, and getting a girlfriend, who develops a Fatal Attraction-esque crush on him.

Not Going Out is a British television sitcom that has aired since 2006, currently starring Lee Mack and Sally Bretton with Geoffrey Whitehead, Deborah Grant, Hugh Dennis and Abigail Cruttenden. Series Three: Having developed feelings for Lucy and successfully sabotaging her relationship with her then-boyfriend Guy, Lee still has no significant plans to confront her, and distractions such as pregnancies, insurance scams, and noisy neighbours keep his mind off the bigger picture. SERIES SIX The misadventures continue with Lee, Lucy and Daisy getting stuck in a cable car on an Eastern European skiing trip , Lee convincing Lucy to spend a weekend on his dad's (Bobby Ball) stylish' new boat even though she is terrified of water and Lucy accidentally running over her client's daughter's beloved pet rabbit. The third series saw the writing team expanded, with Darin Henry, Daniel Peak, and Simon Dean contributing to the main episodes (all co-written with Mack). The fourteenth series is yet to be commissioned by the BBC, although Lee Mack has stated that since the 2023 Christmas Special will be the 100th episode, he may bring the show to an end.
