About this deal

I feel like my love for Xav drops after this, he was all “bark but no bite”? he kept saying how much he loved her and how he would do anything for and how she is the single most important thing in his life but he does absolutely nothing to prove it. Definitely recommending this one to all the contemporary enemies to lovers romance loving people out there. I am sure you all will dig this one and fall for Finn and Dia just like me! Until Dia comes along with all her sweet kindness, patience, understanding and beauty. She also doesn’t put up with his nonsense. Of course Finn initially rejects everything about her, but slowly Dia starts caring for him and helps him battle his demons.

I'm barley scratching the surface with this review, but I implore you all to take a chance on this book! This was my first time reading this author, and I am just SO obsessed with her words! I NEED to know what happens to all the other couples -- seriously all of these characters will totally consume you!! I need her. End of story. The girl’s become my best friend, the only person I trust, the only real thing in my life. She sees me for me. In the end, I can only tell that the cliffhanger truly broke me and I'm counting the days until “Dear Heart, I Miss You” release day. The confessions that they left in the library is found and posted all over the school with a new form facebook group “whoisZacandLove” (their pen names) This book was a last minute add to my TBR and I’m soooo glad I was able to get my hands on it. I just couldn’t resist the cover. The blurb. It is my first Eliah Greenwood book and she delivered!

This was amazing! The minute I saw the title I opened it to see what it was. Then I realised it was a duet narration and immediately knew I wanted to listen to it. Then I read the blurb and bought it on the spot. I'm so glad I found this book! This is part of a series but this book can totally be read as a standalone with the romance complete. I cannot stress enough how amazing this book was! It is definitely on my list of absolute favourites! The only thing is that this book doesn't maintain the bully relationship between the two protagonists for very long at all. It's not very dark, the only dark aspects of the book being the confessions they make - which now that I think about it could actually be considered dark and possibly triggering - and one scene of potential abuse between the female protagonist and another character. I would definitely recommend this book though! The narration was AMAZING on both sides and have definitely become some of my favourites! I hope you find you love this book just as much as I do! Enjoy! I’ve been looking forward to read Dia and Finn’s story ever since I encountered them in ‘Dear Love, I hate you’ and safe to say Eliah didn’t disappoint with this book at all. And the fact that we get a duet for Finn and Dia has me all hyped up since they deserve their own happy ending. Eliah truly has an original writing style and her sense of writing an interesting plot filled with a lot of drama, but also funny and steamy moments is incredible. That’s just one of the many adjectives I can use to describe this amazing book that I adore so much!

It has all the drama, too many problems, too many obstacles in their romance, I didn't know how frustrated I was until I almost throw my kindle away and yelled "Come on!! Would you give them a f**ing break!?" So yes, that would sum it all. Finn was clearly suffering from survivor’s guilt and abandonment because of the tragic accident that took his mother. The only way he knew how to cope was to no care about anything or anyone except his dog. He said it himself. Everything went to hell. And it’s going to keep going to hell. Tomorrow, next week, next month. The difference is… I don’t care. Because I found someone worth walking through fire for. Xavier was a great H!! imo, he didn’t feel like your “typical” H in these high school bully romances. he had his moments, sure, but he wasn’t straight up rude or an actual bully. i honestly loved that he thought the popularity thing was stupid and made me feel 🦋🦋 at times. 😫 for Aveena, i liked her but i don’t think she stood out to me as an individual character (at least compared to Xavier); however, i loved the confrontation scene she had with her mom and sister and how they finally talked about the dad’s death and how it’s been affecting them all these years. yes, that scene made me sob at 5am, thx. :”) for side characters, i was soo intrigued with Finn and Dia’s story that i need a book about them pls. 😭In my humble opinion the writer goes beyond the necessary to give this book drama, she could have ended like halfway through it and it would have been a great book. I won't go into detail but some situations were absurd, for real. If you've read it, please let me know and we can vent through private message... please?? Finché Dia non si mette in testa di scovare la chiave del cuore di Finn e del perché si comporta come un orso affamato e con le emorroidi. If anyone is confused about reading first book before this one, I would just like to make it clear that though you don’t really have to read the first book before reading this one, I would still recommend it cause I enjoyed the first book a lot too! This book timeline takes place before and during the timeline of book 1. Dia is employed by Finn's dad to house sit during the summer and take care of Leslie, a very sweet retriever. Finn is supposed to be away to basketball camp all summer but he's thrown out after a few days. He hates the idea of Dia's presence and he does his best to get her to quit including all kind of pranks and behaving awfully.

We have SO much angst. And a lot of heartbreak- I cried more than once, and I’m NOT a crier. The pacing wasn’t perfect for me- and there is A LOT going on this story, some elements I wanted to know more about, but the connection between our main characters and their character arcs is so very captivating and beautifully rendered, that nothing else really mattered because I loved them so much. I’ve never rooted for two characters any harder-and watching them grow stronger in their connection ANd stronger in their own identities was so powerful and consuming. They are flawed, and make some major mistakes- but Eliah so wonderfully leans into their humanity, and their youth. They are young, they are hurting, and they are trying to figure out who they are. Vee in particular goes through SO much- and she’s a beautiful, beautiful soul. Annoy? Tease? Torture? Why, yes, that would be me. Did you seriously just figure that out? A bit slow, are we?” I snark. months later, they’re still together and now we are on the same timeline as book one. I felt bad for Vee since Dia was so focused on being popular that she grew distant from Vee. She texts Lacey more which is just sad and I get that Vee doesn’t like talking about certain things but knowing what Vee felt hurts. I still love that despite her being in the middle of having sex with Finn, she remembers that Vee is left alone at the party. Finn says he didn’t name Remy and they move on, they rarely see each other so they make the most of their time in the shady forest. Both of these characters are flawed. You will hate the choices they make and some of the things they do, but, for me, it added a level of humanity to them. They are teens, Seniors, which adds to them not making the best decisions all the time. I really did love them together, though, and I love when an author has outside conflicts to disrupt the relationship of the H & h.They seem to be a mess but I just cant help but find their story amusing and it’s a “friends who are in love with eachother but will not admit it” trope. Play, pause, rewind, repeat how many heartaches does it take before a heart breaks? Find out in this emotional story. The friendship group is one you want more from. The kind where you can’t wait to read the stories that shaped their characters. Lacey is definitely one to watch, and Theo, I want his story!! Eliah is an author who won me over with her writing last year when I've read her book “Dear Love, I Hate You” which is also the first book of this series. And honestly xavior was soooo annoying he had some funny one liners but really got to the point where I was like girl
