After arriving at the non profit Greer gets paired up with a troubled teen that hasn’t responded to anyone else. At fifteen, Ally Martinez, is dealing with the loss of her father in action and acting out and Greer sees parts of herself in the young girl. Greer also is assigned Emmett Lawson, once the town’s golden boy but now the shell of his former self after his time in the service. As day’s pass Greer finds herself growing closer to them both. Polysorbate 80 helps to dissolve ingredients to blend together, making products look creamier and more attractive. This book explores the powerful nature of healing through friendships, love, trust, and music. Trentham is just an amazing storyteller and I get so lost and absorbed in her books. I was having a hard time with my husband leaving and this book made the days a little less hard the week that he left... so thank you to Trentham for this piece that will truly always have a spot in my heart. Suffice it to say, this heartwarming story has all the feels and is almost guarenteed to make your eyes leak. On top of that, Greer was a snarky, no prisoners type of character. I just got on so well with reading about her and her attempts to draw Emmett and Ally out, that I was a complete fan of this book and Laura Trentham’s style of writing. This isn’t a dramatic, high action military romance, it is the quiet, sneak up on your feelings type and I couldn’t be happier about that.

There was familiar about the themes of the story that I could totally relate to making it that much more easy to read and love.
