The main character is naive, frumpy, a pushover, and spouts cringey dialogue constantly. Despite all of this, we’re supposed to believe she’s this incredibly intelligent assassin/witch/thief. Also she’s not exactly breaking any boundaries in the diversity department. She’s a platinum blonde bimbo with blue eyes and, authors words, double D size breasts. Very cookie cutter. Minimal diversity in the side characters too. I have nothing to really say about Aria, which I doubt is a good thing. Her and her sisters all seem to share the same personality, to the point that I had no idea half the time who was speaking. I can attest that they're all obnoxious, immature nihilists though. Seriously who speaks like this: I felt his need to learn every detail about my body. The need to bury himself so deep within me that I’d scream for him was violently exposed in his gaze. It was a raw, animalistic need that I shouldn’t want, and yet I did."

Yikes. No thank you! Eventually, we do get to some actual sex scenes and I'm not going to lie... they were pretty great at first but then eventually became repetitive and OTT. Other than that, the writing was just sooo casually crude and I could not take it seriously. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Knox and Aria? Well let’s just say they are an inevitable force. They hate one another but want each other more than anything else, it's something they cannot explain and if you have read the future books then you know WHY but people can guess. Amelia pretty much makes it obvious to us here. We meet Toby in the changing destiny and although we don't see much of him I knew I was going to like him!! Toby was very loveable throughout this story and he stole my heart instantly. I loved how he felt so strongly about Sara and didn't let anyone disrespect her!Specialises in healing and medicine. Often spends time researching medicine and ways to heal. In-charge of medical and healing in the Horde castle. Ryder's brother. Hutchins has a talent for writing men that make you walk the thin line between love and hate. Knox is an asshole, but we are given just enough glimpses into his mind to not only understand his reasons but to genuinely like him. He is clearly torn between wanting to hurt Aria and wanting to save and savor her.
