About this deal

Costco sells a wide range of products ranging from groceries, optical equipment, pharmacy, and travel equipment. Its first foray into golf equipment was in 2016 with the release of the Kirkland Signature golf ball . Distance from the Kirkland Signature is strong. For some testers, distances with this wedge were stronger than any other: good to keep in mind, however not necessarily a fitting factor you need for wedges. The best part about these wedges is they come in a set of three and will complement each other very well during play. Many people piece together their wedges over time through hand-me-downs or garage sales, and while you might be able to get a good deal on a brand name this way, it will not help your consistency. In addition to loft, the grind and bounce of a wedge impact how it performs from different lies and turf conditions. For an off-the-shelf wedge setup, they are superb. I feel the 52º gap wedge isn’t optimized for full wedge shots, but this combination of wedges allows you to hit every shot you could need around the greens.

Costco Wholesale Corporation is a multinational member-only organization based in the USA. Since its opening in 1976, the company has expanded to over 550 stores in the USA and its neighboring territories. We tested the three main categories for wedge performance: spin, accuracy and consistency. Kirkland Signature wedges struggled most in their spin score and did best in consistency. Spin

I decided that the most realistic way to test the performance of these wedges would be to replicate real-life situations within both the course and practice area. I used my club’s chipping area to get a good feel for them. Once I had them dialed in, I decided it would be best to test them on the course during a real round of golf. If you hit errant shots with your wedges or spin can be unpredictable, the Kirkland Signature may have some technology you need. Consistency is good as it helps players know what to expect. However, the issue is whether that consistent performance is the performance you need.Still, questioning whether the Kirkland Signature wedges are the best choice for your game? Here are a few last things to consider. Are the Kirkland wedges legal? Come on, Costco, only about 0.01 percent of golfers can hit blades! That was my initial thought when I saw the photo. I blew these off immediately as blades are for sure not for me. Seeing the “forged” in the USGA description didn’t make them any more welcoming. With the GW of the Kirkland set, I was averaging 88.9 yards. With the GW of the SM9 set, I was averaging 86.8 yards. To start the review off, let’s talk about what comes with the Kirkland signature wedge set. The clubs come in a box as a three-wedge bundle. You get a gap wedge, a sand wedge, and a lob wedge. The lofts of these clubs work out at 52, 56, and 60 degrees respectively. They come with 10 degrees of bounce on both the gap wedge and sand wedge and slightly less on the lob wedge which has 8 degrees. The gap wedge has a swing weight of D3, with the sand and lob wedges both weighted at D4. The lofts, lengths, bounce, and lie are all progressive, so you should feel comfortable no matter where you are inside 100 yards.

There are three wedges in the Kirkland Signature wedge set. The features are fairly basic, and no customization is available directly from the manufacturer. Here is what you can expect from these golf clubs. Gap WedgeThe milled face is a significant advantage and will teach beginners how to hit a wedge properly. The best way to get the most from these wedges is to keep them clean and dry as much as possible. This will give the grooves the best chance to grab the ball and create the friction needed to hold greens from any yardage. Feel

You know what? The Kirkland wedges don’t feel that bad! Don’t get me wrong, again, you won’t confuse these for nicely forged Tour-grade wedges when it comes to precise and buttery feel. The feel is somewhat muted, however, so it shouldn’t be harsh on your hands. I can’t tell you I felt a ton of “face location” at impact. I don’t make a habit of buying golf clubs from Costco, but after a few readers asked us for an insight into the Kirkland golf clubs we decided to splash some cash and see what you can get from Costco who now offers their famous Kirkland Signature golf balls, a high-end Kirkland Putter and these Kirkland Signature wedges. But this is where things get interesting. Who Makes Kirkland Golf Clubs? A beautiful golf course in Southern California near where Kirkland clubs are madeThe spin score for the Kirkland Signature wedge was 75.80 out of 100. However, for the 2021 wedge test, the highest spin score was 93.8 for the Titleist Vokey SM8. The good news here is that the money you save from buying these less expensive wedges can be spent on some premium golf balls, and it may make up the difference in performance that you see on the golf course.
