Start by making the tangzhong — in a pan whisk water, milk and flour until double cream consistency. Then let it cool down. Makievska's story is inspiring, and it is a reminder of the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people. Knead Peace, founded by Andrew Green, was born from the idea that baking is a community that has the power to make a difference. Most recipes are presented across a double spread, accompanied by beautiful full colour photography.
