About this deal

These specs have been determined through tests conducted with the latest firmware. Firmware updates can enhance performance, so updating to the latest firmware is highly recommended. Normal photos can be taken in 12 MP or 48 MP, and RAW format is also available for more advanced editing.

Battery to Power Bank Adapter: Lets you recharge mobile devices from one of the Mavic Air 2’s flight batteries With the Mavic Air 2, DJI redefines the concept of its Air series. While its predecessor still looked like a toy drone, what we have here is a powerful device for drone enthusiasts with a penchant for quality aerial photography. The new departure of the DJI Mavic Air 2 is already evident in the design: the functional grey housing with folding rotor arms now strongly reminds of its more expensive sister models in the range, such as the DIJ Mavic 2. The gadget also appears more mature in its dimensions. When unfolded, it has a wingspan of 25.3 cm (7 cm wider than its predecessor). It also weighs more, 570g, which is also due to the more powerful battery. It uses a new controller, which is also slightly larger than its predecessor. You can connect your mobile device and controller using the improved DJI Fly mobile app. What's New? That's not the end of the safety features either. You also get Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS) 3.0, which when enabled will reroute the drone when obstacles come into its path. The idea behind this is that pilots can confidently fly in more complex locations without fear of crashing. With a weight of 570g, it's just over half the weight of the Mavic 2 Pro, making it a highly portable, and indeed powerful, drone for both photographers and filmmakers. Depending on where you live, it's worth noting that this also means you may need to register the Mavic Air 2 (see the "Will I need to register the DJI Mavic Air 2?" section below).Vision positioning requires non-reflective, discernable surfaces, and adequate lighting. Available at altitudes from 0.5-30 m. The vertical and horizontal positioning accuracy is within ±0.1 m.

WayPoint: Set a specific, savable flight path (up to 5 points) in 3D space for a single time-lapse, or for multiple shots at different times to edit together later. SmartPhoto Another highlight feature is the ability to shoot 48MP stills with the 12MP sensor. The output images taken in this mode are in JPEG format, and the results are unfortunately much softer than Raw files and standard size JPEGs, plus images appear washed out and desaturated in comparison.Battery Charging Hub: Recharge your batteries while out filming to help maximize the amount of footage you can capture in a single outing

Mavic Air 2 supports normal video at up to 4K/60fps and HDR video at up to 4K/30fps. Slow-motion videos are available in 1080p with up to 240 fps (8x slow-motion). This is a big boost over the original Mavic Air's 21-minute flight time and is even three minutes longer than the Mavic 2 models. While that doesn't sound much, you really do notice the increased flight duration and slower battery drain. The controller also provides increased battery life compared to its predecessor. The included remote controller works with your existing smartphone to control the Mavic Air 2 and view live footage from the drone. It’s constructed with a comfortable and ergonomic grip and provides up to 4 hours of battery life. Integrated antennas help to improve the signal performance. This means that when taking off in grassy areas you have to find flat ground with short grass to avoid strimming the grass during take-off and landing.
