If you compare both main characters, then Sloane is clearly the shining star of this book and Declan paled compared to her, but I liked Declan too. He matched Sloane well with his dry humor, grumpy attitude and overall he has all these other traits in JTG Heroes that I love (overprotective, alpha and later on obsessed w the h). It was good that Declan wasn't charmed by Sloane at first sight like all the other men that fall at her feet.

Apart from that daddy thing that disturbed me, Riley and Malek are awesome and they make a good couple. There is really good banter between them and it has made the whole thing enjoyable for me. 🥰😄 The strong attraction and bond between Riley and Malek also make it a good romance. ❤️❤️

This series is trying to be kinky so badly, but it just doesn't fit to the characters. First the BDSM in Carnal Urges and in this book we have Malek calling himself 'Daddy' and I'm scared. In the fierce battle that ensues at the very beginning of the book, one thing they could not deny is their intense attraction for each other. Both felt it, and both were interested, but Declan did not like the way she made him feel. She was fierce, she was knowledgeable, and she was strong. And he was determined to tame her.

Lovely, witty, cute, smart and strong. Declan O’Donnell is the grumpy, overprotective, alpha-hole Irish mob boss who initially wasn’t charmed by Sloane like all the other men, however, he soon becomes obsessed with her and the witty banter and dry humour that ensues between the two is simply magnificent. Declan is a loveable rogue who is a god in bed and knows how to please a woman, worship her body and drag every ounce of pleasure from her. I loved all things Declan O’Donnell, but his insatiable carnal sexual prowess had me swooning. Sloane and Declan arrive at the airport in Boston, but it is raining heavily. The gag Declan had placed in Sloane’s mouth to keep her from speaking has been removed, but the handcuffs remain.
