You should take this into consideration when looking at past papers. Manchester Medicine Work Experience Learn practical skills such as suturing and clinical observations. Any course which combines several disciplines (as many courses at Cambridge do) tends to be compared nationally with courses in just one of those disciplines, and in such cases the Discover Uni comparison may not be an accurate or fair reflection of the reality of either. For example, you may find that when considering a degree which embraces a range of disciplines such as biology, physics, chemistry and geology (for instance, Natural Sciences at Cambridge), the comparison provided is with courses at other institutions that primarily focus on just one (or a smaller combination) of those subjects. You may therefore find that not all elements of the Cambridge degree are represented in the Discover Uni data.Free HPAT Practice Tests Hone your understanding and skills with our free practice tests. How to prepare for the Engineering Admissions Assessment

Revision Notes Divided into topics, these A Level revision notes are the perfect accompaniment to your revision resources. A few students graduate after three years with the BA (Honours) degree. However, most continue to the fourth year (Part IIB), successful completion of which leads to the BA and MEng degrees. Progression to Part IIB is dependent on achievement in Parts IB and IIA. Year 1 (Part IA) Time management and fast calculation are key, so make sure to practice some full practice papers under timed conditions instead of just attempting single questions. All applicants for Engineering (H100) or Chemical Engineering via Engineering (H810) are required to sit the ENGAA. If you are a mature student applying to a mature college you may be invited to sit an at-interview written assessment instead of the ENGAA. In addition to the ENGAA, some colleges require applicants to sit an additional college-set written assessment at interview. Currently, these colleges are only Trinity 🔗, however the college you are applying to will let you know if this is the case.

In section 1 of the ENGAA, each question is worth one mark, giving a total of 40 available marks. Results for part A and part B of section 1 will be reported separately (20 marks for each). In Section 2, each correct answer is also worth 1 mark. The average scores of all applicants and successful offer holders differ from year to year, however it is a good idea to use the average scores from previous years to gauge what you should be aiming for in the ENGAA. The average scores from each section of the ENGAA in 2021 are listed in the table below. You are not allowed to use a calculator in either section of the ENGAA. The topics that the questions will be based on (Mathematics, Physics, Advanced Mathematics and Advanced Physics) are covered in the ENGAA content specification provided by Cambridge. They consist of the following topics listed in the table below. Mathematics Part I (Years 1 and 2) provides a broad education in engineering fundamentals, enabling you to make a genuinely informed choice about the area in which to specialise from your third year (many students change direction as a result). Part II (Years 3 and 4) then provides in-depth training in your chosen professional discipline. Some contextual data linked from other surveys, such as the National Student Survey (NSS) or the Destination of Leavers in Higher Education (DLHE), may not be available or may be aggregated across several courses or several years due to small sample sizes. When using the data to inform your course choice, it is important to ensure you understand how it has been processed prior to its presentation. Discover Uni offers some explanatory information about how the contextual data is collated, and how it may be used, which you can view here: https://discoveruni.gov.uk/about-our-data/.A small number of students spend their third year studying abroad through our exchange schemes with Ecole Centrale Paris and the National University of Singapore (NUS). Accreditation David gained maximum A-Level grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics then achieved a first-class degree in Physics from the University of Oxford in 2002.
