In a tiny space of 40x15x8mm, there is not only a high-quality DAC, but there is also premium audio amplification to match, both carefully tuned by engineers to truly and faithfully reproduce your music the way it was meant to be heard. Power consumption is only 60mA but at the cost of power output that is limited to 45mW/32Ω but it can also handle 16Ω (43mW) loads without reaching a current limit. When connecting to the Type-C port on the computer, just use the Type-C edition of the KA1. If it is connected to a USB-A port, just use the USB-A to Type-C adapter to complete the connection. Add to that a weight of 10 grams and the numbers alone should be a good indicator of how portable this dongle is.

Besides the slightly higher format capability, I think the most obvious difference between these two dongles is with their maximum power output which on the DC05 is rated at 140mW at the same 32 Ω and 2V at 300Ω and using a similar 3.5mm connection.
