About this deal

What games suit my garden best? For small gardens or patios, static games like Jenga, ring toss and, to some extent, Swingball are better choices for the best garden games as you don't need lots of space to play them. If you have a larger garden, space is obviously less of an issue but you should also consider the shape and style of your garden – some games require a certain amount of lawn area and others won't work if your garden slopes down, either. Assembly itself is fairly straight forward thanks to colour coded sections that show you what matches with what, I would say having a cordless drill is an advantage in terms of install. Once fully set up, the product measures 214cm x 305cm x 153cm and is stable and sturdy with a strong net. Word of warning though, it is a bit awkward to move around once it is fully assembled without taking it apart somewhat, so make sure you place it where you intend to use it which means use the lawn mower first or you’ll make a big job for yourself.
A target sheet is included with the net that has three marked holes for practicing your lob, chip and pitch shots. Our favourite garden game, this Scandinavian version of skittles doesn't just look good with its plastic-free wooden design but also is the best fun to play. It is more strategic than the classic version, but we found this heightens competition, making it all the more exciting. It’s pretty easy to assemble. Just pop it together as though you would a tent. It’s got clear instructions, we are talking about a ten minute install for someone that’s handy. You’ll notice the nails. I highly recommend using them and root them in firmly if you intend to leave it out. The window last week really wanted to take mine away! 🙂 Whilst we wouldn't begrudge adults from sliding down this garden water game, it's not recommended. Instead, let the kids have the fun getting wet and cooling down in the summer's heat. The best bit? It has two 'lanes' so you can have races, too.

The net comes with its own carry bag, and before being assembled it fits in easily enough for transportation or storage in winter. Artificial grass golfing greens are much lower maintenance than with real grass ones, and some companies will even install it for you. Still, nothing beats paying on real grass, if this is your choice read on below to find out how to make a golf green in your garden. Also included is an artificially turf mat to save you destroying your lawn during those ‘bad’ practice days and an official PGA tour training DVD to help you improve your strokes. If you won’t like the artificial turf then I would highly recommend buying some grass seed as you’ll need it! Take your game to the next level with tips, drills and advice from top Tour Pros and the UK’s top coaches. On a scorching hot day, top of our list of best garden games is – without question – a water slide. Yes, you can splash about in a paddling pool or have fun with the best sprinklers for kids, but the thrill and fun to be had on this best water game is far more rewarding.

OVER 25,000 HAPPY PLAYERS

Need a compact ball game that isn't going to go over your neighbour's fence or destroy any plants? Look no further than this best-selling garden game. It has been approved by our Editor – and her kids aged 11 and 7 – and it's easy to assemble as well as fun (and competitive) for all of the family. 'They've had hours of fun playing with it. My husband and I are fairly competitive, so we've been known to have a game as well, and I can confirm it's robust enough to withstand more than a few aggressiveshots.' Any usual after effects of fun ball games, like the occasional smashed window – trust us we’ve been there – are contained with this ball on a string activity.

To prevent weeds from spreading from the rest of your garden to your golf green, you should separate it. A good way to do this is to use plastic sheets as lining. Once separated, you need to lay gravel down in the dug-up area. Use pea gravel and lay it down so that it covers the entire area at a depth of around 8-10cm. The purpose of the gravel is to aid in drainage. Choosing a location isn’t just as simple as pointing to a spot you like and saying ‘that’ll do.’ I’m afraid. No, there are a few factors to consider when choosing a place to build your green. Scottish Highlands & Islands postcodes: AB, FK, HS, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE, LL58-LL78, IM, TR, PO30-41Large enough catch net with side to ensure you don’t lose the ball in the neighbours conservatory 😀 Next up is to add a 4cm layer of sand to cover the gravel, then cover the sand with topsoil that has a high sand content and a low clay percentage. Any top soil with more than a 20% clay content should be avoided. It comes with a 3 ft by 2ft target, a hitting mat, 12 colour foam balls and a carry case - perfect for when you need a golf game to take camping. At 60cm in diameter it is larger than the PGA chipping net we just reviewed, and it also has a selection of targets for you to use in your practice. Embrace the outdoors this summer with the best garden games. There’s no better way to enjoy the warm weather than spending time with family and friends swinging a bat and ball or throwing a frisbee in the sun.
